Why Lit? Why are you here?

Got hooked on to the stories almost a decade ago. Had wild fetishes and fantasies but never could talk to anyone in person. Found lit chat next and it was like some Narnia door opened for me keeps pulling me back when I want to escape.

I originally came because there was lots of good conversation going on about my sexual interests here.

As the deeper conversations dwindled when pic threads became abundant around 8-10 years ago, I stayed because of the friends I had made. These days I mostly come out of habit, almost all of my friends have left the site.

I came for writing and achieved that. Now I’m questioning it a bit - do I want more, or less, am I happy with how I am here, who I speak to. Honestly, a bit lost this evening. But hey maybe that’s part of forum life. I’ll probably log off for a bit and see how I feel in a few days.

I avoid social media like the plague. I remember MySpace and loved how you could design your own page. Everything was fine until.... I posted some pictures from a vacation where I happened to wear a bikini. Yup. That was it. I saw what social media was going to be and I left it.

Thats why I love this site. It's social media but it affords more anonymity without making you a wraith on the Internet.

This pretty much sums it up for me also, well done. Being able to share thoughts, ideas, kinks on here is a chance to let your imagination run wild. It is refreshing to find others that share the same thoughts.

I discovered the stories via google search way back in college, it was like a flood of new and interesting ideas and fantasy. Then I discovered the forums and the people who make it such a great space.

It’s interesting to see the people ebb and flow through time. Sometimes it’s new exciting and at others it’s sad, but it’s always interesting to get to know new people and enjoy the company of old friends here.

Lit is like an escape from reality for me that I can share with others. I avoid drama irl so I try to do the same here. I try to be honest with myself and others, breaking that rule is when people show up with popcorn to people watch lol
