Thanks, honWaywardWanderer said:Short day today, so I thought I'd pop in and send warn thoughts to all who dwell here. It's been ages since I've stuck my head into this thread, but each of you sweet lonely hearts have been in my thoughts, hoping that the lonelies are on the run and your days are looking brighter.
*leaving plenty of hugs for anybody who needs and wants them, with extra-fuzzy hugs for the lovely Ima and one of the best friends a person could ask for, that lovely lady from Georgia*

I also wanted to leave a birthday wish for a special soul who dwells in this thread.
Happy 21st to one of the South's sweetest ladies.... SouthenGaGal, darlin' -- you've been like a present to me every day that I've known you, even if I've not always been good about letting you know that. Here's hoping that your birthday today is the start of a wonderful year for you, and that it's a trend that will be followed for many years to come.

Caribbean_Man said:Been a lurker here for quite some time and strangely enough, this is the first time I've seen this thread. Guess its because I need it now I guess. My longest relationship ended about 2 months ago ( just over 30 months). She was supposed to be my last (we were planning to get engaged at the end of the year). Ended up breaking my heart. I'm pretty okay with everything now, except for the recurring feeling that no one will ever love me again. Lonely nights have been pretty much all I've had for the last 2 weeks. Can I join you guys?
Valkyrie2006 said:*hugs* You are among friends here..... we all know the feelings you feel now to well
Caribbean_Man said:Thanks. It means a lot.
Things wont be looking up for me this week, I have my final year of college to deal with ( I'm 21) and to make matters worse, an ex-girlfriend of mine is coming back home from school with the intention of pursuing a return our past. I know she loves me, but I don't know what I feel and the last thing I want to do ... is use her..
Valkyrie2006 said:I would be honest with her and tell her that at this time you don't want to end up using her due to what you are going through now.....
honesty is the best thing when it comes to rebounds in relationships.....
What degree are you working towards? I know that college can be so time consuming.... I finished my degree in 2004 and am a single mom...and worked full time while getting my degree. It's lots of work and I wish you the best of luck in your last year!
Caribbean_Man said:To be honest... I don't think she expects too much of it other than sex most likely ( she's only here for 6 days) but I've already told her that I would like to use the time to figure out what I feel for her... and that she shouldn't expect much of me. I haven't talked to her in a couple of days. Would really like to have a long talk with her before she comes back.
As for my degree, I'm a double major in Chemistry and Biochemistry ( always liked science...in fact I tell people I only have three passions in life: science, music and relationships). Its been a hard three years, but I'm looking forward to the challenge of my final year. Thanks for the best wishes ... and Congrats on getting your Degree.
