Good to see another New England thread......It's time.
The other is too much, nice to get into a fresh thread.

Gorgeous day, hope this weather sticks around. Not yet ready for winter.

Just a quick anecdote to tease our down Mainer friends

True story:

When I was a young pup, this was like 1977 or something, I went on a family vacation to Maine. We rented a house on Goose Rocks Beach with my aunt and uncle from New York.

Anyway, we arrived on a Saturday and being good Italian American's, the first concern was where's the nearest Catholic Church. There aint a whole lot of 'em down Maine you see.

Well, my aunt asked the milk man (yes, they actually delivered milk and eggs to the door).

His directions, done in good Pepperage Farm commercial tone, included the statement

"....you go down the road a piece 'till you get to a red light. 'Course it might be green when you get there..."

I thought my aunt was going to wet herself she was trying so hard not to laugh.

They're coming out of the woodwork for your thread naughty.....good to see the New Englanders finally emerging. They must have been down the cape for the summer without internet access, and just made it through the traffic.

You must be pleased to see the tourists making their way off the cape. I know ít will be alot easier making it up and down rte 3 for the next 8 months.

You must deal with the other end of rte 3 from Burlington, ma to and into NH........I sympathize with ya. Is the construction still going on up there?
