Actually, I was thinking it's about time he posted something actually related to Story Feedback here instead of....insulting people on a regular basis, bitching about how much he hates the AH, bitching about how unfair the contests are, telling everyone how great he is.....yeah, you get the idea.

We’d all feared the worst having not heard from you in weeks. Had danika trapped him in one of her magic spells in woodyland we all wondered.

Had he by mistake cut and pasted himself into his next “non chaptered” tree story?

Actually the comments were received as reported (Do you really think that a bestselling author and threadmaster has time to make up emails?). The interesting thing for me was that they came back-to-back-to-back etc. on five different (and fairly old) stories and from five different readers. Which was a bit unusual.

Meanwhile, on a quiet Sunday morning, we’re all waiting to hear if we’ve achieved the impossible, if another major LITEROTICA milestone has been achieved.

I’m not sure why I’m looking forward to this so much. It’s just a number. Just one number among the thousands that this site coughs up.

The story has already far surpassed any expectations I had for it. It’s already garnered every possible honor. And this milestone is really nothing new. Instead it just extends a number that’s already a LITEROTICA record.

But there’s something about round numbers. And some numbers are just sexier than others. And this one just is.

Sometime tonight it’ll get there. I’m hoping I get to see the number when it sits exactly on the number but I’m guessing that I won’t.

Some years back, when I hadn’t yet had a story reach 1000 votes, I watched in anticipation as one of my stories slowly moved up toward that then lofty number. I promised myself that I’d cast the 1000th vote and checked a couple of times a day to see how close it had crept.

Of course I missed my chance – the story jumped from 991 votes to 1003 one night! C’est la vie…​
