Thanks for the kind thougths and the hugs. I wish I could talk to my children's father but we never talked when we were married the idea of discussing anything with him now scares the hell out of me. He's a very cold angry man.

Sorry to hear that......sometimes we forget what really matters....its not me or her.......its the child WE brought into this world......I put him first before my feeling......Yes there are days when I would love to say things but I always ask myself ....what is the best for him.....thats how I live....There's a book laura......called "Moms house, Dads House" you might want to read it.......helped me alot......Good luck and sometimes things are hard to do but we do them for our kids

I'd like to request something special from the wonderful people that post at this thread.

Today, our friend PGE has to attend court over a serious family matter. If you can, please keep PrettyGrnEyes in your prayers all day today. Please, pray that she may have the strength to get through her situation.

Yes it would, a not for profit hospital receives federal money to aid in continuing operation, if it is a not for profit - most of those places have to get rid of money in order to not show any profit at yr end so they will oftentimes be willing to help or write off hospital visits with just cause.

Talk to the people in financial services with the hospital and explain the situation, don't gloss it over either, be blunt ...... they may be able to help.

Hi Everybody - I have to share our good news. My oldest daughter whom is 9 yrs got some very good news today. In the beginning of the school year the kids submitted poems to a publisher and she received a letter today saying that they would like to publish her poem in a book.

The look on her face was priceless and I will never forget it. Her father of course didn't see that priceless look and I'm glad I have it to remember always.

So yes, it does drain us all...doing it alone, but moments like this I know it's worth it.

Thank you so much Toni - this is a boost she needs..she has been feeling sooo down lately. I am sooo damn proud of her and it's good to see her smiling and excited.

You know, it is the times when your child does something really awesome the makes the pain of divorce hurt the most. Even though you KNOW it was the best thing to do in the long run. I am very happy for your daughter. Any chance we could read her poem here? My 10yo daughter has begun writing poetry this year and it amazes me how deeply she feels things and what she thinks about.

How wonderful, silkynsmooth! You must be so very proud of her... and writing is such a great way for kids express their emotions, as lady*laura mentioned in reading her own daughter's work. My daughter is almost 12, and has been writing short compositions at school for the past two years, and I find all kinds of heartfelt emotions in her writing that she may not mention casually. I keep every one of them.

Hugs to everyone tonight... I need to go out and get some cat food in this 8 degree stuff outside. The kids got a snow day today, and I completely forgot about my errands.
