I have the neatest little god-in-a-box device, in my fandom writing- I can pull it out and it will make my characters do anything- for good or evil. Wish I had one in real life!

Is anyone else using google docs? I'm trying it out now for the first time. It's pretty exciting, since my co-writers and I trisect the globe- only two of us are ever online at any one time, it seems like.

I don't think that way. I think everyone has a pretty unique spin. I'm just having a really hard time buying into any of the story lines/characters I've started with so far.

Arrrrgggg. This story is an Albatross and I'm stuck, of all things, on the freaking sex scene. Uggghhhh.

I write on paper once in a while- doctor's offices and such.

Just now I went cursing through every version of the file I could find, and couldn't find the one with the three or four para's I knew I'd written. I was convinced that I'd forgotten to save them... Then I remembered I'd written them in a spiral notebook that was still in the car....

Do they have to "go" somewhere.......so that I specifically take them there by car or horseback.......

Or can they stay where they are..... leave any transportation out of the story......

So they must walk any other place they go.........or not go anyplace else.....

Or let the reader imagine in their own minds how they got to a new place......depending on how they interpret the story.....

Since I never pictured any in the beginning..........

The only reason it might matter is if the manner of their going alters the manner of what they do when they get there- sweaty and exhausted after an extended march, or white-knuckled from hanging onto the doorhandles because the driver was so reckless, or throbbing from two hours astride the Harley...

I doubt anything you write requires deleting.

1st rule of writing: NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, delete anything. Save it all. You never know when you might want to refer to it again, use it, refine it, add it.........just never delete it.
