Things that have put a smile on your face today

Seeing the smile on my wife's face as we sat outside watching lightning arc across the sky tonight. (and Lucky's current AV)

My friend got her storm, and her hubby paid me a compliment.

Life is good.

Fell asleep on the couch last night with my daughter in my arms. Woke up about 3am still holding her, she was still asleep and she was just so adorable. :)

This may sound odd coming from a bloke but we got the washing machine fixed at last after a month of constant hassle (Extended warranty blues).
My wife is back to her wonderful human form again not a rottweiler with stomach ulcers.

Whats even better is that were going to Florida on Holiday on Saturday, with clean clothes!!!

Smilin from ear to ear

no way does that sound odd to me.. coming from a male or female.. having a working washing machine is just.. a must now adays.
congrats to you on that and.. the trip to fla.

it rained last night

from my window i could see Paul Allens newest yacht. i think my jaw dropped.. cuz its so fricken huge it wouldnt fit in the channel.. they had to drop anchor just outside the fishing lanes and use one of the "smaller" boats to come ashore..

its awe inspiring that that much wealth is all around me and i have none of it... wow! take a look yourself. i didnt get a clear picture cuz the yacht was too far away for my digital to get it into focus.. still i think my lens wasnt wide enough.......

editied to add..oh yeah Paul Allen is business part. with bill gates. and the yacht is over 438ft long and is the world's largest privately owned yacht. It has two helicopters, seven boats and a remote-controlled vehicle for crawling on the ocean floor.

Hey Vella!

More rain today. Might have to row home from work.

If you've got a thing for guys with boats, I've got a lightning. Only 19 foot, but my mast is bigger than his.

Lime

PS - I'm sure I could also find something with a remote to make you crawl.

im loving the rain cuz its also lightening.. gggrrrrr.. brings out my primal side...

i love all boats.. we have a small 28ft sailboat.. i have no idea of the maker/designer.. its just a piddle thing. but fun enough to sail every now and again.

LOL.. your mast? which mast are you inferring?

oooo yes and i do have a fun remote toy.. *griN*

I just love being on the water. Motorboats have their uses, but I prefer the soothing sounds of wind in the sails and rhythmic whoosh as the bow pierces each wave.

speed is great, i concur.. but theres just something so.. powerful about the wind.. the prow of a boat plowing through the water. the spray catching you in the face.

and if you can sail where there arent many boats.. oh.. how sweet to do so naked.. there used to be a place up here that you could drop anchor.. and it would be so secluded.. erm.. cuttyhunk. gorgeous.. quiet.. but with all the new rich people who envariably find these spots.. its no longer that safe 'haven'

Never got the chance, my boat's too small for the ocean, so I'm confined to Barnegat Bay, but it sounds so sensuous.

PS - Where are the pix?

sadly.. up in flame.. along with the ex..

Burned all the bridges eh?

oh yeah.. upward and onward says me!

theres happiness to be had and i mean to be greedily hanging on to ever ounce of it i can find.

We have three cats.

The latest arrival was my eldest daughter's cat until daughter moved from a house with a garden to a city centre flat.

The cat came to us about three months ago and has settled in well.

Today we had to take him to the vet for a minor eye infection.

The cat my daughter has had for five years is called Henry.

The vet gleefully informed us that Henry is a SHE!

Oops.
