"Top Secret"

Well, as long as he has no regrets everything is kool! :D

I wonder if we’ll ever find out what was in those documents.
Hard to say. There is some thought out there that contain very incriminating information regarding Ukraine, Iran, and the UK. It's been reported some of those documents go back to when he was a Senator and Vice President. He had to have stolen these documents.

Speculation and conspiracy....no thought.

I'm not overly concerned with the contents of the documents. Hell, might be nothing more than a list of Xi's favorite concubines. As I've pointed out before, we have a habit of classifying the dumbest shit.

There is however no doubt that the documents were stolen. There is also the issue as to whether the documents were compartmentalized and whether Biden was on the authorized distribution list. Unlike being president, being vice-president does not entitle one to see anything one wants. (As an example Truman was completely unaware of the 'Manhattan Project' until he became president.)

I notice that senior democrats are trying to paint this as completely different than Trumps problem, and they're right, it's worse.

Can you prove Biden didn't declassify them with his mind? :sneaky:

He WAS NOT president when he stole the documents sparky.
He declassified them in the past with his mind.

Sorry, but if you use the whole "he can declassify documents with his mind" as an actual thing, then I'm using time travel.

Who used that? Hmmm?

Back in '69 Nixon had Kissinger disclose to the Russians how our nuclear 'Fail Safe' procedures worked without going through any process. This was done out of fear that that Soviet leadership didn't have full control of their nuclear weapons (and they probably didn't). This was cooked up between Nixon and Kissinger without anyone else knowing what they were going to do.

That being said I do concede the point that Trumps actions ARE debatable regarding declassification. But the documents were known to be in his possession, they were secured and under video surveillance with Secret Service personnel on site at all times. You can say none of that re. Biden.

So rave on.

How do you know that Clinton and Obama didn't declassify all documents that were there? Wit their minds. It's a dumb argumwnt..if he didn't tell anyone, then they were never declassified.

The documents weren't known to be in his possession because he signed an affidavit saying he turned them all over...which is why a warrant was issued.

Really? Well now, all they have to do is step forward and declare it so............right? Neither one of them are going to touch this with a ten foot pole.

Take something for your fever.

It's the same argument.....there is no process to declassify something by a President, but he can't just say he did after the fact and have it be true if he told no one. There has to be at least one person who acts on it.

As far as I'm concerned, the current President has fully cooperated and, in most cases, has found new documents without being prompted to do so.

A thorough review of classification handling as well as searches of previous office holders who have left office (even those in office) should be done. Congress should provide oversight recommendations on improvements to the processes including chain of custody and secure locations.

We don't know who Trump told.............or not...............yet.

All of which avoids the fact that Biden stole those documents.

After a full year, it's pretty clear that he never told anyone.

The investigation is ongoing. There has not been any evidence of intent provided publicly....at worst, he stole them...at best, they were misplaced.

Intent has NOTHING to do with the situation, NOTHING!!!!

There is NO doubt that they were stolen. If you knew anything about classified documents you'd know that at the very least.

Bullshit. The Espionage act says it's a crime if you both "willfully" retain classified documents and also fail to deliver them on demand to the officials entitled to receive them.

Pay attention to how many times the word "willfully" is mentioned. Intent has everything to do with the situation.

His lawyers found and reported the documents.

Oy...

So if I rob a bank and then call the police and say, "Hey fellas, I have some stolen money here" all is forgiven?

I realize you're a homer for your team, but come on. You are only wanting to discuss what happened after the crime was committed.

Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit I take it.
