UK Online Directory. v9.

'course it's okay. this was once a very popular thread that linked back to 2001 - ish. everyone has moved on with their lives now. i just drop in to keep it ticking over. it's usually just me and linguist [2 grumpy old farts]. :D
I didn't know it was here at all. I've been fairly active in the other UK thread but not so much lately

yep. that UK thread grew legs and is now the main focus for UKers. what makes threads more popular seems to be the presence of female posters. this thread isn't so attractive 'cause it's mainly 2 geezers, with an occasional visit by BFG and Dee (a german/american lady - or is that american/german?). i've noticed how [some] blokes will appear in this thread after one of the girls drops in. typical Lit behaviour :D. i sometimes wonder if a psychology student has ever used this site as subject matter for their studies. there are plenty of, uh, nutters about. ;)

:D

I am not a nutter . . . slightly deranged maybe, but not a nutter!

We're gonna stand up, hook up, shuffle to the door!
40 mins out [from the DZ] was prepare for action - seats up, equipment passed out. then it was interminable checks by the PJIs. all that weight just hanging off us.

'jumping' was more like falling out and hoping for the best! :D
