It is technically upstate. Just wondering if there are any people from this area on here, as when I tried to start a WNY thread I got zippo for replies. Nice to know not everyone from this state is from the NYC area. I'm a 19 year old male student interested in just meeting some new friends, female or male.

Not sure if I still count for this directory, as I now live in Erie, PA, but I grew up in Dunkirk/Fredonia, about an hour west of Buffalo, and lived there for 30 of the 35 years of my life. Still visit the folks there and my other relatives spread out among the Buffalo and Rochester areas. I'd love to chat and/or have a little e-fun with people, especially female-type people, from the area.

A thought

Wolfie69 and I were talking. It seems in the initial days of lit, a bunch of lit folks got together in Syracuse.

Now, I am wondering if the Upstate NYERS would like to put something like that together. We wouldn't have to meet in Syracuse, we should probably do it where most of us are concentrated. So far, it seems that Albany would be a good bet.

Or, and I am brainstorming by myself, perhaps Turning Stone Casino?

I am a 44 divorced male from above Albany...Near Lake George. I'm glad to see a place for upstate people have a place to talk. We seem to get lost when someone talks about NY. Upstate NY Lit. Gathering

Hi all, I think having a get -together here in Upstate NY would be great. Many of us live isolated, as it's so rural here. Not like NYC where a higher concentration of people can make meeting more possible.
I think it would be great to have a big camp-out in one of the State Forest areas, I'm pretty sure for a peaceful gathering you only need a permit.
This could be a wonderful way to meet other like-minded folks, share stories, have some laughs, and who knows....
