War on the "Trolls"

Well, this is of course a joke not directed toward the Editors, but toward the readers. For confirmation you can just check my comments. Lowest ever on an Editor's choice, with comments saying "Why did this get an E?" and "Who made this an editor's choice?"
I think the cause is actually the reverse. People thrashing stories with an E beside them out of spite. I've only read a few E stories, but they seemed okay, and usually had pretty interesting titles. It's entirely up to the staff what they wish to pick for their E's. It might be nice if each had a unique color, then, if you happen to generally like so-and-so's tastes, you can see which stories they picked.

I think the attitude that is the healthiest for me is that I'm trying to create an effect when I write.

I'm casting a stone and hoping for ripples.

When a few people read it and love it, I'm happy for them. I can also think that for one person that likes it and comments or votes, there are a few that don't comment, but they liked it, so I have implied ripples.

When people read and pass on and I see no effect, that's when I'd be most desolate and feel like I'm not doing anything at all to effect other people. No stones.

So I've tried to find where I fit best. Romance and poetry for me. If I stick to those categories, that's a list people can search for a certain expectation.

Editor's choice puts it on a different list, and that's when I collide with people who don't have any taste for what I write at all and they spit me out.

Categories are a problem, altogether; not just here, either.

Well, that's what I found out. Lots of my writing has elements of fantasy, and of course as a writer it makes it fun to make internal voices real or otherwise.

However, if I try to put this in "Sci Fi/Fantasy" I mostly get vague disappointment that nobody got hot robot on robot action.

You'll have a thousand posts here, before you know it, Recidiva. Given it any thought?

Okay, now I have a thousand and I have a thought.

Need technical advice, though. How do I give myself a new title?

You may have to log out & back in.
Sometimes the server needs to 'catch up.'
I think title changes are done in the 'edit avatar' function.

Thanks!

Okay, nothing so far, logged out, logged in. Forgot password, reset it.

I think there was a monkey chasing a weasel.

I'll wait to see if the servers give me the option.

Otherwise I might not have a title.

I like "Quixotic Chaotic"

Or "Chaotic Quixotic"

Can't decide which one should do the modifying.
