Congrats on discovering the definition of "conversation."
In your mind, having a "Conversation" means talking to yourself on an online forum using a dozen different screen names.

I wonder if you ever do talk to any actual real people, or if you are one of those guys you see on the street wandering around screaming at clouds and having conversations with hallucinatory people.

The key, during both life and death, is to recognize illusions as illusions, projections as projections, and fantasies as fantasies. In this way we become free.

~ Lama Thubten Yeshe

You live in illusions and the appearance of things.
There is a Reality, you are that Reality. When you
recognize this you will realize you are nothing,
and being nothing, you are everything. That is all.

~ Kalu Rinpoche

LOL. Isn't that the most horrible looking rifle ever. I have seen some monstrosities but THAT is just awful. I cannot imagine ever even firing that thing. I'd be embarrassed to be seen with it. The aesthetics!!!! Looks like something out of a cheap sci-fi movie.

But this litle cutie!!!! I bought himself and I one each a couple of years ago and it's just beautiful. Looks great too.

I was thinking about you the other day while perusing these rifles. I'm thinking about one for myself. I remembered your recommendation.

Maybe later this year. I'm thinking I need another case of ammo for April's 2A acquisition.

Worth a look. I like Daniel Defense - have 2 now - an AR15 5.56 and that one above - and I see they've added a 9mm handgun to their range as well. I might take a look at that.

This one I liked too - from Black Rain Ordnance - I bought it for himself for his birthday a few years ago after we first met and hooked up. Really nice. I got the 308 with the 20" barrel. It's since seen a lot of use hunting. Waaaay to big for me but he loves it.

I’m wondering about a .308 with a 16” barrel. I have 2 M1A rifles and 2 AR10s. The ARs both have 20” barrels. Something with the Big Punch with a shorter barrel seems like it would have a bit more short range utility.

The M1A SOCOM doesn’t float my boat. I’m sure it is a decent rifle but….

16" and 308 would be good. This one has a 12.5" barre

And this one has 16"

I like the shorter barrel versions. Easier for me to handle and I like lighter too. I'm not 6' LOL. I want something shorter than I am. LOL. I shoot his for fun but its hard work, esp with the 308's and as for the old Lee Enfield 303 - ouch! And don't get me going on the Mosin Nagant. That one IS taller than me. LOL well, not quite, it's fun, but it's not light.

The more I shoot, the more immune to recoil I become. I find the 308 to be a really good trade-off between the carbine cartridge that is the 5.56 and the bigger, full power military cartridges found in the Mosins, Mausers, Enfields, and Springfields. I did buy an upper for my AR10 in 6.5 Creedmoor, and I am looking forward to spending some quality time with that.

There is a gun show in town this weekend, but I am sitting in a tire store getting new shoes for the truck. Besides, I already shot my firearms budget for the month.

Keep looking and finding the cartridge and rifle combination that works for you. If it doesn’t work, you won’t shoot it. If it does work, you won’t put it down.

Oh hell, now I'm LLcocks?

WTF? At this rate I'm going to be everyone and who has enough time to post that much? (other than Pax and BB I mean.)

Hey, I thought you were me. Or am I Wat. Or Dave. (Who IS Dave). Are we talking to ourselves again?
