What Are You Listening to Now 7.0

I'm reading a trilogy of Warhammer 40k books. The only fitting music to go along the grimdark bleakness of the 41st millennium? '90s death metal of course!. I'm still early in the playlist, at Bolt Thrower's excellent "War Master" album.

Another Girl, Another Planet

(Best line ever: Space travel's in my blood, there ain't nothing I can do about it).

Christine McVie (Fleetwood Mac) died today, aged 79.

The songbird has sung.

I'm listening to silence right now. With Donnie down for a nap, it's the most golden sound of them all.

Had one of those weird occurrences two days ago where, having not listened to them properly for years, I spend the whole evening going through their back catalogue on YouTube (especially The Dance concert) and reminding myself what a class act they were.

Now I'm trying to work out whether it was a conscious choice on my part or whether the algorithm was trying to tell me something.

I listened to a lot of M83 today. I flowed with that wave. Then I made a playlist for the thing I've been working on for the last couple months. I highly recommend making playlists for your works, when they are appropriate. Oh jeez, I totally need to add some Fleetwood Mac. Well, one in particular.

Listening to King Diamonds Abigail 2 after listening to the original. Musically its damn good, but the story itself isn't great, I think he didn't need to revisit a masterpiece and try to add to it. But its on the KD play list so I'm rolling with it. Them is up next.

Listening to Saya Gray, she’s a new experimental alternative artist. Her album 19 Masters is like a bunch of short stories.

I still think this is the best love song ever written:

Or perhaps this one:

Today, it’s Elvis Costello. Prefer this more desperate version of the song “I want you” versus the popular sweet one. It inspired a scene I’m writing.

Only opens on the YouTube app for some reason:
