What Are You Listening to Now 7.0

Wow - I haven't heard (or heard of) this act for MANY years!

As my son likes to call me, King of the obscure music....

The Fisher is really good and a newer release having come out Jan 2021. I played it quite a bit last year.

No music, but I can hear a family member watching The Americans in the background. It's an excellent series. I recommend it.

Glenn Miller Orchestra - Tuxedo Junction
Glenn Miller Orchestra - Chattanooga Choo-Choo

Sometimes I just need to hear horns and Tex Beneke and the Modernaires. Plus hubby does a mean Jitterbug and Slow Jive...

A few song fragments Dani and I are working on. One sounds like a Pink Floyd/Jean Michel Jarré jam session, the other like something from the'90s played on vintage gear, complete with horrible umts-umts-umts-umts drum loop. But it's fun!

Love Glenn Miller - thanks to my parents, I grew up in a healthy diet of big band/swing.

That sounds wonderful and fun! Enjoy.

Therion : Les Fleurs du Mal

Getting caught up on Therion's back-catalog. I've missed several albums...

Kayak : Out Of This World

Dutch neo-prog.. They've always been fairly good, and an easy listen.

Cast : Vigesimus

Very solid prog from Mexico. Not sure why these guys are overlooked - they're pretty damned good.

Some horrid Strauss waltz Pandora shoveled up. I hate Strauss waltzes.

Mid nineties, I believe. It was his fourth, fifth or sixth album.

Update:
Heh....Google is indeed my friend:

Fifth album released in 1996

Haven't heard much from him past the first three albums and made a habit of avoiding his post-2000's output, much the same I did with WASP. :)

@Haulover: I'm not exactly set on fire by Johansons post-"Gothic Kabbalah" output, but one thing's for certain: It's anything but boring.

Also: Guys, guys, you know who's singing on the new Star One? Russell effing Allen! And I thought their friendship had died. I mean, around the time Ayreon Universe was a thing I sent a mail to Arjen and asked about his synths and if there was any chance of a new Star One album and from the way he very carefully phrased that he and Allen "won't be working together from now on" it seemed hell would freeze over before they'd collab again. What's next? The Norlanders on the next Ayreon?

I'm playing Type O Negative tonight. "October Rust" gets the heart thumping.
