Whats every body reading?

Radical Evolution by Joel Garreau...man there's weird stuff they can implant in people these days. I'm just waiting to see the troops who don't hemhorrage when they get shot. Or whether or not telepathy is manufactured in my lifetime. Crazy nano-technology. Dunno where it stops...

A friend of mine is part of a project involving hearing aids which jack into the nervous system/brain. Electricity!

Just starting on 'The Innocent Man' by John Grisham...just finished 'The Safe House' by Nicci French and before that their novel 'Beneath The Skin'...'The Red Room' awaits me.:D

Currently reading:
- "Slave" - memoire of a sudanese girl sold into slavery
- "Kabul Beauty School" - memoire of an American woman teaching women to do hair in Afganistan... a more interesting read than it sounds.
- "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nightime" - murder mystery told from the perspective of an autistic person.... fabulous book.
- "The Simirilleon" - History of the Elves and Peoples of Middle Earth before all the more mainstream stories happened..... oye it's dense.

The first three? I should be done with them tonight, or tomorrow latest. The last is going to take me awhile.

I tend to stash books in different places, so I tend to read a few at the same time. lol

edit: had to double check the wording on some of my titles. :)

I've begun to read a book called "The Judas Strain". It's a fictional story about bio-weapons and super diseases.

I've read that. James Rollins, if I'm correct. But then I'm a bio weapons geek - fiction/non-fiction, if it's bio weaponary, I'll read it.

I'm currently reading: Blackwater- The Rise of the World's Most Powerful Mercenary Army by Jeremy Scahill. To be honest, I'm finding it fascinating and down right scary in equal measures.

Is that the mob who are creating a stink in iraq or the ones who got busted in southern Africa recently?

Iraq.

It's chilling to read how they are becoming increasing powerful and embedded into the US military-industrial complex.

Recently saw a quite funny black comedy with John Cussack dealing with that subject matter(fictional country). I don't think it has been released yet, can't remember the name of it though.

Finally finished The Good Guy by Dean Koontz today..ended up being a good book!

Any body read and the Ass saw the Angel by nick cave? Kind a cross between the wasp factory and deliverance!Very dark very twisted just the way me likes it!:D

I'm boring as hell. Y'all are reading some stuff I've never even heard of.

Right now I am dead broke and desperate for a read, so I am re-reading Interview with a Vampire for the thirteleventh time, and when I finish that (likely today while I am poolside) I am going to reread The Witching Hour for the gazillionth time. After that, If I don't have any money, I reckon I'll have to go into the LOTR again.

Looks too much like my past real life to me. I like to read for fun and that to me wouldn't be. I'm glad you are enjoying it though.

Those are great books but have you no library? The library card is usually free.
