Perfume is superb! What a concept to describe all the smells!loved it.

I've just started Rant by Chuck Palahniuk(Fightclub) and its promising to be a cracking read on page 24 and ive all ready got a quote i love.
"How folks lay claim to a loved one is they give you a name of their own. They figure to label you as their property."

Looking forward to getting into this one.

Just started "The Chase" by Clive Cussler and have James Rollins' "The Judas Strain" up next.

"The White Road" by John Connolly and next will be "The Talisman" and "Black House", both co-written by Steven King and Peter Straub.

Reading, slowly, Outlander by Diana Gaboldon and getting ready to read Blood Noir by Laurell K Hamilton

i am reading the 3rd book in the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer.

Ahhh I love the series. I actually got to meet her too last September and I am currently in the middle of New Moon by Stephenie Meyer yet again getting ready for her new book in August.

Just beginning "Unaccustomed Earth," a collection of short stories by Jhumpa Lahiri (author of the novel "The Namesake.")

all my books are packed... 2 more weeks until I can unpack them and start reading things again

Damn I am pretty boring and geeky I guess. I am currently reading a medical journal on physiology.

I just finished reading "The Prize : The Epic Quest for Oil, Money & Power" after filling up my gas tank and saying, "Screw it, I want to know more about this!"

I still swear at gas prices, but I know a lot more now.

I'll be finishing Blood Drive tonight. It's good and the second in a series by Jeanne C. Stein.

I picked the first one up because of this blurb "The Becoming is a cross between Mary Janice Davidson's Undead series starring Betsy Taylor and Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series . . ."

Also Charlaine Harris said she thought her readers would enjoy it.

Good stuff.

When I finish it I have three books to try out. I suspect one or more won't make the cut though.

:rose:

I just finished "By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept " by Paul Coehlo and have started "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert.

Loved the Alchemist, filled me with hope.
Oh, I loved The Alchemist!!!! Wonderful, wonderful stuff!

Currently reading Applied Hydrogeology, after that is either Thoreau's Walden or Emerson's Self Reliance. Or maybe Dreiser's Jennie Gerhardt because I just love that book.

eta:

Hofstadter's Godel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid is also on the list.
