Whats every body reading?

I am currently reading Eat, Pray, love by Elizabeth Gilbert. I feel like I have been reading it ages and I have lol. With work etc at the moment I'm not getting much time to look at it. From what I have read though (halfway) I am thoroughy enjoying it.

I want to buy something by Paulo Coelho. Any suggestions....do I start with the alchemist or something else?

The alchemist is a good place to start!
I adored it. Life changing!

So did I:D Then I moved to paranormal fiction, swinging back to fantasy a bit more now though.

I dont know what I'm stuck on the now? Gritty urban social realism with a pinch of horror and a dash of erotica.

LOL I'll read anything that seems remotely interesting. I'm not really stuck on one genre to be honest.

Me too. Whatever takes my fancy in the shabbily stocked library where I live.

I have three public libraries close to me, and my university one I can use for my non-fiction books, as well as two bookstores. So I'm a happy camper:D

Love you A., you studying the book made me smile! I havent meet you yet and I am already sad about the day when you'll go back to UK. Wish you could stay here forever... sigh

A book called "Perfume". I can't remember who wrote it but I should go read some more of it really, I was really getting into it the other day.

Forever by Pete Hamill.

BTW, vegetarians are no more crazy than any other segment of the population, thank you very much.

Patrick Seusskind its a fantastic read, loved it. the film was so so.

I am re-reading all of the Laurell K. Hamilton novels because I don't think I had a mature mind when she first wrote these books.

The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson. It's the first thing that has grabbed me in a long time. It's a great result for a first novel. I'll be reading anything he follows it up with. I'm at that depressing point where I know I will be finished in a couple of days.

I digress here but whats everyones first book as a kid that they can remember reading?
Mine was Watershipdown, still love it.

The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe - C.S.Lewis, is the first book I remember reading.

I'm currently reading Phantom in the Night - Sherrilyn Kenyon with Dianna Love. Guns, explosions, terrorists and sex. :D Perfect.

I was a real bookworm, started reading when I was 4 and never stopped. Can't say what was the first. All of Astrid Lindgrens, later on the Narnia series...

From the age of 8 I really loved all those sad stories about orphans and poverty. I read and cried and reread and cried and then spend my days imagining and playing that I was one of those miserable brave girls.

One book I loved was The Wind on the Moon. Read that with my son a while back and it still held a lot of the magic.

Astrid Lingren I've never read but i saw the Pipi langstrumpf films as a child in switzerland. Fun stuff!
Forgot to mention Lloyd Alexanders the black couldron much better than narnia and less self rightious.
