When I Was a Kid....

WIWAK seeing a teacher outside of a classroom/school setting was a shock...who knew they had lives?

WIWAK, my mom and dad used to take drives out of town because there were gas wars and it was CHEAP to travel...

WIWAK, you could ride your bike all over the neighborhood (and without a helmet), stay out late in the summer until dark, and your parents didn't worry about you too much because you were within yelling distance. :)

WIWAK I was told if I got paddled at school, I would get paddled again when I got home. My less than smart older brother came straight home from school and announced he had been paddled at school. Dad got home and paddled him again. I was the smart one......never told them when I got paddled at school.

WIWAK I remember being nine and going to my first pro baseball game and the Milwaukee Brewers were the visiting team. I wish I could remember who the player in the Brewer bullpen was that was giving baseballs away to the kids for running to the concession stand to get the players drinks and hotdogs.

WIWAK I heard you better not cry or I will give you something to cry about...

Ain't it the truth - so were Mars bars, McDonald's cheeseburgers (everyone has the occasional vice - mine's a kid meal from McDonald's), and my parents (they shrink with age - anyone else notice that?).

Do you keep the toys? :)

WIWAK....MacDonalds would actually count up as the number of customers increased...I would watch them change their sign totals evey few weeks....it was fun to watch actually....

I used to take the good toys from my brothers hahahaha What a bad big sister :p
But yeh chocolate bars seem to be getting smaller tut tut!!

Yeah...there was no such thing as fun size candy bars when I was a kid...:(

When I was a kid, the Captain Kangaroo show would always wait for me to get a sadwich before continuing with the cartoons...

WIWAK I hated showing my dad my homework...it inevitably led to another two hours of writing...

WIWAK We had a neighbor who would always walk their dog in front of our house, the dog would almost always crap and the neighbor never cleaned it up. One day my dad saw the dog crap and the neighbor just walk away and dad had had enough. Dad went to the garage, got a shovel, scooped up the crap and followed the neighbor down the street to his house. The neighbor had no idea he was being followed. Dad walked right up to the neighbors porch, said to his face "You forgot this." while flinging the dog crap down onto the porch. :)

WIWAK, I thought that when people sneezed, the polite thing was to say "flismtide."
