When I Was a Kid....

Funny as hell!

"Crappiest generation of spoiled idiots!" Hilarious! Thanks, BBB!

"Like how quickly the world owes him something he knew existed only 10 seconds ago."

"Did you partake in the miracle of human flight, you non-contributing zero?"

WIWAK, I could walk or ride my bike to school safely. I did not have to worry about the weirdos out there.

When I was a kid....

I did not have to walk to school, but

I rode to school on a bus with no heat and no insulation.

When it was 10 degrees F outside, it was 11 degrees inside the bus.

When I was a kid......

the girls were not willing to "flash" their boobs

THANK GOD FOR "GIRLS GONE WILD"!!!!!!

WIWAK I used to hate going to bed. Thank goodness some things changed for the better!! ;)

WIWAK .... when my mom would use the electric mixer it would cause static lines on the television. :D

lol, Hester!! I remember that!

WIWAK, we didn't have to take our Halloween candy to the police station to have it checked for suspicious items. If a neighbor gave us an apple, we didn't have to look for foreign objects in it. Man, I miss those Halloween candy gatherings...my brother and I having the annual "weigh in" of the candy-filled pillow cases on the bathroom scale. I can still remember the year I collected 10 pounds of candy. I thought I was all that! And never gained an ounce eating it, either!!!

Ella .... remember the smell of your Halloween candy bag?? There's no smell like it .... just smells like Halloween. :D

I snacked on danger... I dined on fear.
I lived with reckless abandon and I have the scars to prove it.
The world was my Slimjim and I took big bites
Then I grew up.....DOH!

Yep! And I would pick out all of the black licorice for my dad, cause I didn't like it! Funny how the bottom of the bag would be all the Good N' Plenty, Jujube's and those damn Mary Jane's (which I happen to love now!!!)

What about those Peanut Butter Taffy things that came wrapped in orange and black waxed paper?? That was always the last resort candy.
