Would you meet someone from Lit for coffee?

I would but they would be the only one drinking coffee. I only love the smell of it. Weird, I know! I could sit in t a coffee shop all day and smell that but give me a tea to enjoy it more ;)

Same, but I also like coffee and walnut cake..

Also, wear a Lush...😉

I am not a coffee drinker. However, that would not stop me from meeting up with someone to have coffee. Or tea. Or iced tea. Or a glass of wine or beer...

Down but not out....

I just did meet someone from Lit after chatting ridiculously for 3 weeks. Within one hour, I was asked to leave, but managed to pay for dinner first. Admittedly, I was crushed. But I’m not giving up......I’m always interested in meeting a new lady....coffee, drinks, whatever.

Oh dear, that’s a pity. What did you say to her? Nice of you to pay for dinner though...

I have SO many questions about this.

How were you chatting for 3 weeks if you just signed up yesterday? Were you in the chat room?

What brought on the departure?

Why dinner and not just drinks?

I think many of us have questions, I do hope he answers them.

I will add again that I would meet someone for whatever drink they choose, but I would want to know them longer than 3 weeks. Although, I do know someone that married after a month and is still married 20 years later.

Coffee .....

I like mine black, 2.5 tsp sugar, violently stirred, steaming hot - in a tall mug, not a fat mug. There is one coffee shop in my town of 900 peeps and a dinner that serves decent coffee. The coffee shop is drive up only so we might perchance have to either,

a. Agree to meet at my house where the coffee maker resides and there is always a fire in the woodstove, or
b. Drive in to town and buy a cup at the shop and go up to the lake and silently watch the morning mist rise from the ice and disappear, while we sip sweet black java jack.

Anytime, drink what you want. It's just a beverage and hopefully good conversation. No strings attached. If anything, I've learned during the pandemic how much I miss peoples smiles and talking with them. If they don't agree with me so much the better, makes for better conversation and I may actually learn something.

If only we had more people who felt as you do, we might be in a happier place. I do remember the days where we could actually talk about anything, which made for stimulating conversation. We could agree to disagree and shake hands or kiss each other goodbye while still remaining friends. The good old days. :)

there are a few i would love to meet to have a drink with.
I have met a few before - Cian brought me oreos and milk to Steak & Ale. Sweet guy, miss him.

As lovely as that could be. I prefer in public. Especially first meetings.
