Would you meet someone from Lit for coffee?

All systems "go" (as it stands currently).

AND maybe I'll order coffee (decaf) and maybe I won't! Cuz an invitation for "coffee" does not require one to drink coffee.

Gathering some conversation starters/enders to take along. I generally can blather on just fine. Hopefully, I also can listen attentively.

OK. I made it! At Café in "Spain"*
Threat of Thunderstorms, Tornado Watch and potential hail.
So far — just warm temps.

E.T.A. is in 10 minutes (or so)
Wish us luck. I have a decaf mocha & cream filled long john. No, you perv(s) (again) the pastry.

U2 is playing — "Still haven't found what I'm looking for".

A pretty big crowd here. Not very "intimate" seating options, which might just be fine.

I'd definitely enjoy meeting for coffee, public place so all would feel safe, IHOP, Waffle House, Dunkin Donuts. Should be obvious I like coffee and breakfast, these places have both all day.

Update:
I had a great time! I think/hope she did too.
She did ask if I'd like to do it again — so— I believe it was all good. :)

We talked of both of our recent events, the drive to "Spain" and mostly about art.
I gave her one of my drawings. (she could have asked for more, but I did not push it).

The coffee was very good, as were the pastries.

For all you busy bodies — there was no sex*. I did not detect any "sparks" dancing off of her in my direction. Though I do not have a good spark-o-meter.
Just good conversation. Very glad we did it. Would/will again.

*tho', if the had been sex, I doubt I'd share that with y'all.

I didn't do any drawing either, although I had a sketchbook (actually a bunch of them, most filled).
I was about to start a drawing when she came in. Then I had more important things to do.

It’s all about levels of trust and chemistry, some folks, threads only. Others we have chats privately but maybe neither of would be comfy meeting in person for what ever reason. Then there is a select group where there is a huge temptation to look that person in the eye and share a beverage of some sort. That list of folks in that category is tight.
