Young Justice/Teen Titans (OOC)

I think you misunderstood Nightwing's battle with the zombies. He didn't kill them, he stunned them. The shockers pump enough electric charge that the muscles contract and thus it becomes impossible to move limbs. Like having a seizure.

And vampire fiction pisses me off with a lot of shit. If they can't breath, they can't talk. If they have no working heart, there is no blood circulation and it will all pool in their legs. They would also be incapable of getting an erection with no blood flow.

Let's agree that we don't have enough time to debate vampire physiology, at least without starting a new thread lol.

I could talk about vampires and zombies at length, but knowing where we are encountering these particular zombies, it might be safer to assume that these aren't zombies at all.

I've never heard of doomsday being created by Ivo. In the comics he was created off-world.

I agree that evil superman is a bigger threat than doomsday, but at least doomsday lives up to his potential.

Superman, good or bad, has near limitless ability, and kinda hangs around doing nothing all the time.

Lily, I highly recommend that you read "All-Star Superman" by Grant Morrison, or watch the movie based on it, as they are both extremely lovely looks at Superman attempting to live up to that potential without sacrificing the basic moral humanity that makes him him.

The comic is better, but the movie is still fun, and it makes a change to the ending that warmed my heart in a surprising fashion.

I read Allstar superman. It was one of the things that made me see his potential going to waste. Lol

In the sense that you read the book, liked it, and wondered why they weren't doing more of that in his mainverse books?

Yeah, I can grok that.

Okay, having confabulated with Lily, I think I have a sense enough of continuity to make another reply, which will free Lily up to make a reply of her own.

I'll do my best to get that out during the day tomorrow, fingers crossed.

I've been reading Injustice. It's pretty interesting, but it has it's share of plot holes.

Injustice as in the comic based on the game? I never played the game, but I have watched a YouTube video where they compile all the cutscenes and fights into a two and a half hour movie, lol.

And yeah, I believe Doomsday was originally created on Krypton in the distant past or something.

All-Star Superman is clearly Pre-Crisis Golden Age Superman. He's no where near that powerful in the modern era, he's nearly never depicted as being uber smart Post Crisis either and before Crisis. . .well he could literally do anything. He wasn't wasting his powers, he just didn't give a shit. It's a fun book and movie mind you just bear in mind he can't actually do half that shit today.

And I mixed up Ivo and Milo, in Justice League we know in the very least that he was brain washed by Cadmus and it's been a few years but I swear I remember Milo stating Cadmus had created him and when they couldn't control him they fired him into space. But he sent the rocket off course and returned to Earth attacked Justice Lord Superman mistaking him for. . .Superman (a reasonable mistake all things considered.) So that was my bust.

Ivo created Amazo and worked closely with T.O. Morrow to build Red Tornado, Red Volcano, and other androids, I believe.

Ivo created Amazo's various incarnations, and devised his own immortality serum.

Morrow created Red Tornado, Red Volcano, Red Torpedo, and Red Inferno. Also "Mister Twister"-- the armor and the android Bromwell Stikk wearing it --in animated!YJ, and yeah, a handful of other androids.

In the comics, they were bitter rivals that hated each others' guts, but they teamed up to create Tomorrow Woman to successfully infiltrate The JLA's recruitment drive.

Neither one is especially to be trifled with.

As for Milo, the only "Milo" I can think of from DC is Milo Armitage, an arms dealer who had a relationship with Connor Hawke's mother Moonday; he's also appeared briefly on "Arrow."

Sean, did you mean DCAU!Emil Hamilton created DCAU!Doomsday? Because I hadn't realized that, but a quick Wiki look-up says it's true. Huh.

I think I remeber that doomsday origin in DCAU now.

That was when justice lord superman lobotamized doomsday with his heat vision.

But Ivo warned Volcano that the team was coming, if I remember correctly.

Also, if I do indeed bring in Ray Palmer and he joins the team after he gets his powers, then he could hire Nat to work for Palmer Technologies or something. Maybe at some point when the Sins come after Superboy, their base is destroyed, and Ray agrees to fund a new complex to not only house a research facility, but a new base for the Titans. Either that or maybe he builds a new mansion up in the hills with a secret Titan Cave underneath or something. And the members each get their own room in the mansion as well.

Haha, yeah, but probably only because Hugo Strange made him, Zatanna totally humbled him with that truth-serum spell. XD Ivo only knew where Thomas Oscar was in the first place because he was keeping tabs on his bitter rival.

That sounds pretty ginchy! I am excite!

Though I'm a little sheepish-- I based Nat's size-changing on dwarfstar-tech because I assumed that Palmer already had his powers in this universe and she was deriving hers therefrom. Should I change that? I could always have her use a similar pocket-universe tech to what Cybertronians use...

Yep, and then when he comes back they explain his story in more detail.

Possibly, those scientists all start mooshing together for me. Especially the ones that really piss me off because all they really want is money. I mean I get that it's for the story but dear god. half these guys could build castles out of gold if they decided selling super awesome stuff is simply better than robbing banks or killing heroes.

Kinda yeah. Especially since some of them don't seem to actively WANT both and other's you'd expect would genuinely want to be helped with their disease.

Take Spellbinder from Batman Beyond. He knows how to make VR Bliss and what does he do? Does he sell is literal electro crack to rich kids and parents? Nope, he gets them hooked on what I assume is the highest setting and then sends the kids home to bring him their parents jewelry. Not only could he probably make video game level money which is hundreds of millions doing this legally instead of finding a fence and probably getting half what the Jewelry is worth. And he's risking jail time. It would be different if he hated Batman like Shriek does and part of it is revenge motivated but he actively avoids confrontation whenever he can. It's not like he's black listed like Doc Ock or Mr. Freeze where they turn to crime because they can't fund their projects and nobody will hire them. (Though in real life both of those guys are so goddamn smart they could eat babies on live television and keep their job at Microsoft at the same time.)

Or Riddler. Yeah he got screwed, then he got mad, but he could memorize contract law in like a month and make more money than god selling puzzle style games. Hell the one time he tries it he only returns to crime because he can't get over his sickness with Batman. Most villains either don't want to change, Ivy and Harley come to mind, can't or don't care like Two-Face and Joker. But Riddler? I would have gone to Arkham tried like hell to get better, asked them to put me contact with Bats (and in the Animated Series he's shown at least once making what amounts to a social visit but I don't recall to whom.) and figure out a way they can continue to match wits without him breaking the law. Which eventually does happen in the comics as he sets himself up as a detective.

Got a sweet move I want to try on Gluttony on my next turn, if that's okay with Sean and Remec?

Does it require cooperation or are you just asking me not to go after him? If it's the former go for it, if it's the latter I haven't read the latest IC but I don't think anybody has engaged Sloth yet and that's where I was headed.

She's more gonna copy that Fastball, except with Lucy instead of Beast Boy. I just didn't want to interfere if you guys had a follow-up in the offing.
