Zapped by Under 18 Rule

I've never had to do a high school setting, but to be safe in all my works I put a warning in the beginning stating that the characters are at least 18 years old.

I'm you wanted them to be at least 18, but the admins still need to see something to show the characters are a legal age. Maybe you can still rewrite your story to make them seniors and mention they are 18.

That and ten cents will get you a dime. A disclaimer means nothing if the actual content has them under 18 or has them appearing to be under 18. I don't think the submissions system takes such a disclaimer as assurance of any kind.

You can even run afoul of the term, "a boy's dick on man's body." But when I pointed out the context, they passed the story without changes.

Speaking of dime, a cup of coffee cost about 5 cents in 1958. Sitting with Pops, watching Perry Mason, Della Street exclaims "A dollar for a cup of coffee." Perry Mason responds, "I've told you not to look at the right side of the menu."

They don't get to even order before they are off to the mysteries. At the end of the show, Perry asked Della where she'd like to eat. She answer, "The restaurant from the other night, I need to find out what makes a cup of coffee worth a dollar."

(Oh, that someone would write a Peri Mason story)

Or maybe "Ironsides."

I'm still suspicious that a troll or incel ratted on me. My first two comments were from those Loving Wives haters that dump on every story I write. I was sick of it so I deleted them and posted my own comment informing them that I would no longer tolerate that nonsense. I'm thinking that annoyed them so they decided to get even. I guess I shouldn't feed the trolls

"Don't feed the trolls" is good to keep in mind.

Trolls don't delete stories here. Laurel does. That said, sometimes it seems that she knee-jerk deletes without full investigation.

I've been on here off and on for 15 years under different names and anon.

There are as many underage stories on here as there are(were?) on Asstr.

I recently had a story rejected because it included high school age characters. I'm bummed because I thought it was a good story and it got a good response from readers for the few days it was live. I'm pretty sure plenty of consensual sex happens among high-schoolers in real life.

Oh, well. Since it was in "Loving Wives" I wonder if it was reported by one of the trolls or incels that always attack my efforts.

I'm not protesting the rule, I just regret putting so much effort and anticipation into a story only to discover that I was ignorant of the rule. I certainly have no interest in writing about truly underage activities. I thought about editing it because I don't want to miss out on all the fame and fortune I would get here, but that would pretty well gut the whole story.

The far bigger problem is the number of new authors here that go ahead and throw in a story WITHOUT bothering to read the rules first. The OP has accepted their mistake and isn't complaining about it. That's good! The ones that show up with the "How Dare They" attitude are the ones that piss me off.

I'll tell you right now that there is NO ONE READING the stories. They're being scanned with keyword software to catch any offenders, which doesn't always work. There was a story in LW a couple of weeks ago that broke even the other site's 14 limits. I can't even repeat it here! It disappeared pretty quickly, but it shows no one eyeballed it ahead of time.

I'm not quite sure I agree. One of the reasons is that I think what's at stake is completely unimportant. I've never reported a story for being in violation of content rules, and I suspect I never will. It's not that I support the author. It's that I don't care. The Site can have whatever rules it wants to, and that's fine with me. But I have no responsibility for enforcing its rules.

If I saw a story on Literotica that had somehow slipped by Laurel and involved violent pedophilia, I would take a different view. But I've never seen anything remotely like that at Literotica, so it's speculative. The stories that get by are more of the "coming of age" type stories involving post-pubescent high school students. I personally have no objection to those stories. To me, it's silly that people get bothered by those stories. If Literotica wants to set an 18-year old limit, then fine, but it's not something to moralize about. Teenagers have sex. It's not a big deal.

So if I choose not to report a story, it's not because I support the author, it's because I think it's not important. The Site can do what it wants to do but I have no obligation to help it enforce whatever it wants to do.

I tend to agree with this. While I respect the 18-year rule here, I must admit I find the 14 rule (even 16) elsewhere makes more sense. We all went through that period of ignorance, exploration and wonderment. We learned much of our sexual behaviour as adults in our formative years. To pretend it doesn't exist seems stupid to me. But it's not my site.
