True. I love cozy mysteries. I especially buy them if they have kittens on the cover.Didn't you read my post? I have a kitten! Who needs luck?
If you're ever feeling glum, just do a Google Images search for "kittens" and "gif".True. I love cozy mysteries. I especially buy them if they have kittens on the cover.
YouTube is my friend. I love watching Sigrid, the bike riding deaf Norwegian longhair. If you're ever feeling glum, just do a Google Images search for "kittens" and "gif".
It will, as long as you play up the "summer at the beach" aspect and [somewhat] play down the "everyone's nekkid" aspect.
If it would make you feel any better about putting it in the contest, you can add to the note denoting it as a contest story that you don't want it to be considered when the scores are tallied up. That's something that's been done a few times before. Just being part of the contest isn't really hurting anyone who's competing, and you're right that you'll get more reads by it being in the contest. People who are ineligible because of recent wins enter contests they can't win all the time. This isn't really any different.I haven't been writing much lately. (Depression has been kicking my ass.) But I'm almost done with a swapped POV opposite of my National Nude Day entry from last year. I'd meant to have both of them together as one story, but clearly that didn't happen. I believe it qualifies as a stand alone story, with the the dialogue being the only words that are the same in both, but I feel to enter the contest with it, if it would even be allowed, would go against the spirit of the contest. I'll use the tag, but I'm somewhat conflicted, given the view/read count would be significantly higher if it was part of the contest. There's no chance of it winning of course, but I was hoping to get some other perspectives on what I could see as a sort of gray area?
Thanks everyone!
Congrats! Best of luck
Judging by the 1 and the 3 that have already been dropped, either people think my story is a contender, or they think it's crap.Congrats! Best of luck
Always go with contenderJudging by the 1 and the 3 that have already been dropped, either people think my story is a contender, or they think it's crap.
Are you sure you didn’t post in Loving Wives by accident?Judging by the 1 and the 3 that have already been dropped, either people think my story is a contender, or they think it's crap.
Congrats and welcome to the tribe. Have fun!Oh hi!
The whole 'nude day' concept pushes a lot of my buttons, so I figured I'd try my hand at writing a thing (and even creating a Literotica profile for it!), and now (with barely a day left before the deadline), I'm happy to present Samantha Spring's Sapphic Summer!
Hope you all enjoy! And, y'know, if y'all say something nice I might actually try writing some more silly smut about gratuitous nudity.

Maybe you bump one story that would have been on the first page of the main new story list because contest stories get top billing, but it's as likely as not that you would have landed on page 1 anyway, meaning that story would have been on page 2 anyhow. There's no tangible harm you're doing to anyone else by allowing your story to get additional exposure from the contest. Tell Laurel not to consider it and there's no chance you accidentally bump a winner. No harm, no foul.
You may not have meant me, but I’ll take the compliment anyway. This has been loads of fun. I never hoped to win, but I’m quite content with how my story did. I may need to try another contest!
