I’ve never understood why people come to Literotica, which literally has “erotica” in the name, and then get upset when things get sexual.

I think a lot of them confuse their own lived experience with the idea that, on here, we're writing...

TxRad used to talk about the odd dynamics. There are some nudists who are prudes/purists and think sex should be completely divorced from nudity. Maybe one of those getting all hoidy-toidy because they don't want that image getting spread around. Tx also said there was no missing what was going on once the sun went down.

Just hit the cool-down in my story, and that very dynamic is going to come up during the chit-chat. Then a little food and hydration before things kick up again.

Already at 12.5k words and I still have a fair bit of this final sex scene ( which actually cuts off in an "oh boy" moment that would be another few k words of bump-n-grind if I actually wrote it instead of briefly summarizing it in the closing ) plus the closer. I don't think it's going to go quite as crazy as Mom's Christmas Cookie did, but this is way outside my usual parameters as RR. May have to weigh reassigning it to Les once it's finished and I do the first full read in a different font size and face.

Something this long is pushing it when my latest only has about half the votes I would normally expect in Mature. I may have been inactive too long to spring a novel on people. It's nothing out of the ordinary for Les.

Okay-okay-okay. Shameless self-advertising aside (I'm late for the party, need to catch up somehow!) I intended it to be a somewhat humorous description of bizarre adventures, but as I wrote events happening around might have gotten to me, and leaked onto paper. As such, I have no idea if a mix between humor and darker thoughts is even working, and would appreciate any feedback, no matter how criticizing it is.

(And of course, there were a few obvious typos and misused words that I've noticed only after the publication, so I had to submit a follow-up edit request, instead of doing things right the first time)

While nothing stops you from doing it, as well as voting on other competitors’ stories, it isn’t clear that the votes will count after the less-than-transparent sweeps come through and delete votes considered illegitimate. I vote for my own early in the process, as it may make a difference as to whether the Hot H appears after 10 votes, countering the nearly inevitable few bombs that often appear immediately after an entry is posted.

Yes, we're allowed. I sometimes do and sometimes don't. If you honestly believe your story deserves a 5 then by all means give it a 5. Your opinion is as valid as anyone else's.

I tend to vote on my own stories only when there's a particular advantage: if I'm trying to nudge it across a minimum-vote threshold, or push it over a 4.5 to get a red H. You can be sure that plenty of other authors are voting on their own contest entries, so I wouldn't feel shy about doing the same.

Finally finished the first draft of mine. Bloody thing went almost 17k words, and that's with me cutting off a blue pill enhanced reverse gangbang orgy scene with an "oh boy" fade to black. LOL

Absolutely getting reassigned to Les. Too long for an RR story. I've always put these in Group before, but I think I'll drop this one in Mature because the age difference dynamic is absolutely there as well. One younger man and 6 older women. May as well see how it goes, because I suspect I've been leaving a lot on the table with the age difference threesomes going in group. I'm on vacation, so I should have plenty of time to get it edited and in by the 5th despite the length.

Mine went out for editing a little while ago. Made sure to tell him not to kill himself to finish that monstrosity by the deadline. I'm perfectly fine with taking my chances ( and my lumps ) posting it with just my editing passes. It's not even remotely the type of story that wins contests.
