My favorite thing is snow, because it makes the darkness a little less oppressive and the sunny moments extremely beautiful, it makes a fun squeaky crunch when you walk on it and the sauna-to-snow-to-sauna combo is fun. I also like candlelight breakfasts which are possible in winter, walking and skating on the frozen sea,

My least favorite thing is also snow, because it turns into ice cold slush that freezes your feet when it melts. And it's the worst when it lingers on in spring and doesn't have the good sense of giving up. But I'm still more pro-snow than anti-snow and I hope we'll have a better winter this time around than we did last year. The darkness can be a bit much sometimes, too, but I don't struggle with it too much. The amount of sunlight per month is usually counted in hours per month, often fingers of a single hand are enough - it's very cloudy here in winter and of course the sun is above the horizon like 3 hours a day.

I'm not sure why I stopped, it was several years ago. Now I need more silence than music so that's why I don't listen now.

Favorite time of day?

Especially on weekends and holidays it's the morning. Not for sleeping in, because I rarely do, but because the whole day is ahead of me, the light is kind of fragile, or in winter I can light some candles, it's soft and quiet everywhere. I feel a little fragile in the morning too and I'm typically a lot easier and kinder on myself in the morning than I am the rest of the day.

On weekdays I like the time I arrive to work and the time I leave from work the best. I really appreciate the surroundings where I work and getting to walk through the pretty corridors and then outside among the pretty buildings fills me with happiness and a sense of belonging every time. I'll be sad when I no longer can work there.

I don't get to experience snow a lot but I can definitely imagine that those who do feel the same about it. I also really liked your answer about your favorite time of day. I really struggle with being kind to myself.

Do you have a favorite period in history?

Yeah, being kind to myself or even tolerating myself is a struggle most days for me. I try to keep my morning routines, because I find it helps with that. But here I am now, up before 5am. Definitely not a part or my routine, but I can't seem to be able to go back to sleep anymore. I hope this morning won't be too harsh.

I'm not sure I have a favorite period in history. There are interesting events and characters in all periods. Rather than focusing on one period, I most like to learn about a country, area or topic through different eras. I also like talking with people who know about things I don't know much about, and that's often how I get interested in new historical topics.

My closest colleague has a Master's in egyptology and has told me lots of interesting things about Ancient Egypt I didn't know, so since I started working with her in July, ancient Egypt has been very interesting to me, because I've been able to ask questions and hear fun little stories.

In music history my favorite period would be baroque, because that's what I'm most familiar and comfortable with. It's what I've played the most. So at least that's a clear answer to a "favorite" question, for once! :)

Did you get your hair cut?

Just a trim.

I randomly really missed having long hair one day a bit before I went to get my hair cut, so I didn't dare get it cut.

But yesterday I saw a pic of myself with the short(er) hair from a year ago and now I really liked that too. It was shoulder length. I'm torn!

Hi seela

When we meet in Helsinki, in a cafe, besides hello, and the normal general comments ad discussion, what would be the one Literotica BDSM question you would like to ask me?

Are you coming here? :)

Do you mean a question that's discussed here in our corner of Lit? I'd probably ask you how you feel about humiliation, emotional sadomasochism and such and what kinds of fun or not fun experiences you've had in that realm. They are topics I enjoy talking about and it's always interesting to hear people's opinions on them.

I think that's an awesome approach to learning about history. I find the more I learn
about something, the more interesting it is. I hope your day went well.

Covid has gone! Where are you travelling first?

Edit... Sadly hypothetical.

I haven't thought about this, but maybe Warsaw.

I was there at the end of February, and it was my last trip before this whole mayhem blew up on our collective faces. I love Warsaw so that alone is always a good reason to go there, but it'd also be a way to start over in a way. :)

The other obvious option is Germany for Christmas markets, which was a trip I had planned for this season anyway.

Not been to Warsaw. Krakow is rather lovely though

Do you have a body (your own body) thing that irks you? Not how your body looks. More like something that bugs your body. Itchy socks? Hangnails?

For example, I get really grossed out when anything sticky or wet runs from my hands down my wrists. Or if I'm wearing mittens and snow melts in to that space between end of mitten and cuff of coat. Weird, I know.
