Ask Your Moderators

I believe when it says “Guest” that the person requested their account be shut down. There are folks I know who asked for their accounts to be closed and this was the result.

“Loves Spam” is definitely when Laurel shuts down the account due to some misbehavior. Historically, I’ve seen her not do the “Loves Spam” on a long running account (several times I’ve seen this with GB regulars who pushed too hard and their accounts get shut down, but the custom user title was left in place).

How long does it take to get an avatar approved? 🤔

My poor old avatar doesn't work with this circle thing. #SadFace

I admit, I will miss seeing that when you change it. It's one of the most clever AVs I've seen on here. It always made me giggle whenever I saw it.

I have no insight on anything that requires approval from the site. Sorry I can’t be more helpful on this one.

Which means nothing.

IP addresses change often, sometimes several times a a day. It's part of why some people get logged out and have to sign back in so often.

One site Admin told me that over a period of a year or so, I had signed in from a couple of hundred IP addresses.

It’s a major reason people can’t actually be permanently banned. It’s simple to come back with a different IP address. It’s simple to log in with a different one every time you log in.

What happened to the :caning: emoji? It seems like all the others are still there. Too bad, it was one of my favorites and came in handy sometimes :(

No clue about decisions like that. I’d assume that it just isn’t one inherent to the new platform. 🤷‍♀️

A few months ago a friend told me that he saw some of my old photos posted on one of the forums. I have been going through the photo threads but have not found them, there is a lot of content here.
Is there a quicker way to search for them, I doubt it but thought that I would ask. And what can I do to get them removed if I figure out who posted them?

I don’t know of a faster way. Any chance your friend took a screenshot or took note of the username? With that info, we could possibly find it faster. If you find it, send me a link to the post or send me a PM with the thread name and the number of the post and I’ll remove it or get it removed.

Thank you. He didn't take the screenshot and told me about it a few days after he saw it and didn't remember exactly who or where. I will contact you if I find it but not too hopeful of that since it has been so long now.
Again, thank you for your time.

If you by chance know the original file name, you MIGHT be able to search for that, but it someone copied it, changed the name or rehosted it, that won't help.

There is also one other possibility, but it isn't without risk either. There are reverse image search tools out there. You upload an image and they will search for matches across the web. They may find things in places you didn't anticipate, but they won't be able to search for matches on closed or restricted sites.

Thank you, also, for your time on this. The photos were originally posted on an amateur "naked wife" website by my ex-husband, with my permission, and I no longer have copies of those. So, no telling how many people had downloaded copies of them back then. (Between 2000 and 2010) A few years ago I was able to get the same photos removed from a couple sites people had reposted them to. But they still pop-up occasionally.
The person who saw them didn't think anything of seeing them and actually thought that I had posted them, so all I know is the person who put them up had a profile as a female and claimed they were of her.
Sorry that I am probably wasting your time, but maybe an example of why not to allow your personal pictures to get out like I did. I've been fighting this fight to get them back for over ten years now.

Need some clarification (which may involve asking you know who).

I see several variations of rules on images.

There's at least one more out there too, but I've lost track of it.

They all have slightly different language and appear to have been updated independently. The biggest difference is that what appears to be the formal one (first link above) does NOT have language regarding images uploaded to Lit's servers, but appears to include all displayed images, linked or uploaded. This would be a big deal as many, many linked images are violating one or more rules.

Hey everyone, just a quick post to say I am still around. I’m in the upswing to my busiest time at work so I have less time to just hang out here, but I am logging in every day and handling reports, answering PMs, etc. I’m very grateful for the messages checking on me. I appreciate y’all! ❤️
