And yes, that is the same person. Even with a few false positives, that's good enough to be dangerous. If it didn't recognise a picture of you, it's possible that it doesn't yet have any real pictures of you in its archive to match against.

I think it might something to do with the status of the person. This is some sort of a rick star, right? For celebrities it does work, sure. Now try to run it for an ordinary person you know, that does post their pictures on fb. I don't think you will get the same result. I tried it with pictures of a couple friends, used their FB pictures for that(!), and still no matches.

Like I said, not everybody is going to be in the archive yet, and it can't match to images it doesn't have on file. But I expect the archives, and the technology, will continue to improve.
