Gather, a spring challenge

Sorry, no luck. Mine was The Bird's Nest.

And my vote was for Bloom, with As Alice Dreams running a very close second.
aw, thanks :)

and your The Bird's Nest was a good piece; many expressed their disappointment when it didn't make it through

Amouvable Beast!
My warmest congratulations to you. You deserve this laurel.
You did travel me in worlds known and unknown, so thanks for sharing your soul with all of us.

Congratulations also to every participant in this so inspiring competition. My heart really voted for all of you.
And big Thanks to Harry and Ange. Without them it would not have been possible and so entertaining.

You were Bird's Nest?

So you're my Cinderella. I've been trying to fit beautiful slipper on everyone.

I've slobbered over that poem enough for now.

The prom offer still stands.

I wear a size 13 shoe so I doubt it would fit but, yes, the Bird's Nest was me. I also wanted to say I appreciate all the kind comments you and others made about the poem. And, no, I won't go to the prom with you so stop sending me all those PM's.

I loved both Bird's Nest and Somewhere, Something Incredible. I ascribed the latter to AMB as recently as half an hour ago - it has a very similar feel to me to one of his others in the context, which he has not fessed up to yet.

Are you referring to Exhibition, which you accused me of writing earlier? And yes, that one is mine as well.

exhibition is yours too? goddamn, that's great. snowmelt and that were my very top two.

Yes, I was very lucky.

Exhibition is actually my favorite of my three, but I did not expect it to do well. I was very pleased that it made it out of the first round, let alone to the finals.

Precisely. It had my vote to the last.

Public congratulations from me as well. I tend to slobber all over my heroes in private, can't help it. Here I am all dignity and taste.

And thank you, thank you, thank you to butters for the idea, Harry for biting and most of all the hard work and patience, and Angeline for the support. And all the participants for placing the bar so high!

so.... it'd be fair to say you enjoyed it then :D

Yes, exactly this. :)

See? Indiana Jones. I told you that you have a penchant for mythology.

And my thanks also to Harry, Angeline and everyone who penned a poem (or poems) for this fun little challenge.

Now I'd better get back to writing more material for the porn side -- er, I mean, story side -- of this website.

Thanks again ~ Seanathon

It belongs in a museum!

And thank you so much, Harry and Angeline, for doing the hard parts, and especially you, Harry, for tolerating me during the submission process when I had to seem like the dumbest person you had ever communicated with.

Harry, are you going to start another thread for all the poetic commentary on individual pieces?

Congrats, AMBeast - "Snowmelt" is very deserving of the win.

Like I said earlier, I was torn between it and "Odd Objects Ballerinas Shove Up Their Bums" ..... ummm .... wait .... that was what I watched on PronTube last night ..... nevermind .........

Who would have thought there were 29 readers lurking around the PF&D.

I can't wait to dig into the poems. That's what I've been most excited about all along.

Before I do, however, I just wanted to say that I thought a lot of great poems didn't make it to the finals but were still very, very good. The 10th place ties in particular were all wonderful. Just as strong, I think, as those that made it. Rules are rules, and everything was totally square, but I would have loved to have seen all three of those pieces in the final. They were all deserving. "Mud Season in Vermont" was also of particularly high merit, to me.

Ooh, afternoon treats, fresh baked cookies from the hubby and finding out who wrote what!

Congrats on the win AMB! My fav of yours was Paperwhites and Pomegranate Seeds, it was my #2 overall.

To Harry & Angeline, thanks again for all your behind the scenes work!
