Can't wait to be back with you in OUR home

What? And not have snow for Christmas???

Now cut that out Gil....*smack*...you're going to make me blush

heheheh . . . passed up an opportunity a few years ago to attend the Iditarod Sled Dog Race 'cos it happened in our summer . . .

Which would you prefer . . . a day temperature about 27 degrees Celsius with a cool breeze blowing in over a slow breaking surf onto a beach full of tanned aussie males all keen to please a woman (in my case I'll take the bikini/monokini/nokini girls), dinner overlooking the beach, the darkening sunset catching the glistening phospohrescence of the rolling waves as the dull roar of the surf provides the background music as you sip cold aussie white wine from the Hunter Valley or South Australia and dine on fresh cooked crayfish, oysters the size of ping pong balls and juicy scallops caught that morning . . . to an aussie six or eight weeks of that makes snow bound and cuddled up interesting but limited . . . you can get into so much more interesting mischief without clothes . . . :p

I actually had a dog sled ride at Quebec City's Winter Carnival last February...it was sooo neat.

Now hon you paint a very enticing picture there...got to love the water, aussie males, sunset, and delish seafood with some wine...only problem with your picture is you asked about Christmas. I'm from Canada...a land of four seasons...only spent one Christmas out of the country and away from my family....was in Athens during a 6 month trip through Europe....don't ever plan on doing it again....so make it Dec 26 and we've got a deal. As for getting into mischief :D

What??? Snow didn't impress you??? Gil how could you say that??? It's is so beautiful when it first comes down....looks like a fairy land on trees...to walk in the snow feeling it crunch under your feet...acting like a kid making angels in the snow. But really it's just not Christmas if you don't have snow...I can still remember the only 'green' Christmas we had when I was kid...but I'm a Canadian...obviously you'll disagree :)

You left out the joy of life out doors when the strong northerly winds hit *Gil shivers at the memory* that memory alone turns my mind to enjoying the fun in the sun here NO BLACK ICE on the roads just for starters but if you do like snow it's hear in our wither too but just in the south east area.

But hon you were in the prairies...it's damn cold there...I'm in Ontario with the moderating effect of the lake...it never gets cold here (well hardly ever hehe). OK I'll give you that driving in the snow and ice is no dream...but I still want snow for Christmas...

Guess we like what we're used to, eh?

Hi Kiki
Jan 24th is the big day :D So much to do so little time......but I'll get there!

I'm going to see my ex and kids this afternoon.....he's already phoned me once and accused me of "deserting" my daughter (plus the subject of money came up - again   ) I took her shopping last week.....we had a big talk about everything and she knows I love her very much and that will never ever change even though I'm further away. There's the phone, email and even msn chat......and she can always come over for visits in the holidays (when she gets her passport!). Son is on the verge of starting adult working life and who knows where HE could end up - the world is his oyster basically......

And I'm thinking that my moving could be a blessing for my ex because he won't have to worry about running into me anywhere.....;) :D

Dear KIKI what along journey you have had since we first exchanged PM's here on LIT & I hope that you too find the joys in life you so richly deserve in health, work, love & life itself, you are in the hearts of many of us on this thread & you know you own a portion of mine always & not just because of the BOND we share.

Merry Christmas to all...it's been awhile since I've visited and whew a lot has happened.

CONGRATS BANDIT & GIL! Wishing you two the very best...there's a smile in my heart for a special couple :) :)

Don't know if I'll be able to stop in much from now on until next year. Was suppose to have surgery tomorrow but that got postponed to the 6th of next month since I had some problems with my blood count (caught a bad virus and now just getting over it) and I'm not doing so good with my back situation either - stuck mostly in bed.

The season kind of gets me filled with mixed emotions and with things going on with me I guess you can say I'm trying to keep a smile on my face. Didn't mean to bring down the thread folks - sorry.

:(

Have a very safe and happy holiday everyone and until later - Aloha from Hawaii!

((((((((shadow))))))))

So sorry to hear about the surgery hon  Wishing you a Merry Christmas and may next year bring you better health and happiness. :rose:

I have mixed emotions about Christmas too, in fact I thought I would be spending the day alone but my daughter (bless her!) is having none of that and is coming to spend the day with me, while son is staying with his Dad and his other rellies to keep him happy.

And in a month I'll be having Christmas again........;) :D

I don't think I'm that different to most ppl in that I do honestly care about the ppl who have posted here looking for anything to help them cope with their own abuse, if I could I'd like to meet each & every person. I form time to time pick a few who I haven't seen for a while & PM them just to ask how are they.

Caring is easy & so rewarding when I here ppl are doing OK.

Thanks Gil...trying to make it to the computer whenever I can and today seems to be okay for now. Expecting heavy rains and thunder anytime so I figured I'd get out of bed and try to visit everyone here. It's and up and down thing for me and luckily my SO is very caring and understanding which helps as well as knowing I have very close friends here.

Will keep you posted and will try to check in whenever and as soon as possible. It's nerve wracking but I've been through this before and know what to expect.

Thanks for your heartfelt kind words. Take care and love to all. :rose:
