I just finished the first version of my second story. It's one of those stories where no-one's very likeable, but hopefully readers will stick with it to see whether the main character wins or loses.

I now join you demon worshippers and demon fighters. This sword and sorcery story was a LOT of fun to write. A muscled up barbarian is used to "tempt" and "tease" a she-demon from out of the girl she has possessed...hmmm, wonder if he ends up in the nude?

I'm running behind on my reading of all the new stories. I caught a wave of writing flow yesterday, but mostly work has got in the way. Sorry everyone!

My second story is in the proofreading stage! It's been difficult to write a thoroughly unpleasant character, and I've had to rewrite the ending so Rulk the Rat doesn't get anything less (or more) than he deserves, but it's been fun.

Maybe now I can catch up on my reading!

Really curious what people here think of Make Your Own Luck. My Patrons and Alpha/Beta readers loved it, but the landing on Lit was barely over 4.7 so I’m wondering where the disconnect is.

I haven't read the other stories from the same series/universe so forgive me. I did give this story 5* because I enjoyed it.

I can't speak for others but my only slight (and I mean slight) dislike in it was the somewhat cliché "incredibly hot girl who nobody asks out because she's incredibly hot" trope, although in this case a succubus might have a legitimate claim to being that person. And the streamer thing isn't for me, but that's just me personally.

Otherwise I did enjoy it and I thought the luck idea was genuinely quite original. As I say, 5* from me.

I just search by the Pandemonium 2024 tag. There are a bunch of links in this thread as well. I think there’s going to be a list once the thing is ends?
