It seems like you're suggesting that in order to comment on the conversation about struggling with an overwhelming amount of data and the fact that the President, like many people his age, might have trouble recalling specific details, one must stick to a single viewpoint. However, I don't think that's necessary.

Yes, I think the President should be held to a certain level of how he handles himself beyond.any age level because he's the fucking President.

But if you need to discuss a governmental position that is relative to the age of the person holding office, I can see where you might be confused.

Moving on to your point about President Joe Biden, I believe he's doing well in his role. He has a strong team of advisors and a supportive cabinet, and his decisions seem to be in the best interest of the citizens.

I believe that he has not needed to make decisions beyond that which requires a discussion of the entirety of his administration and that these decisions haven't expected much beyond a weeks long discussions

Someone in the White House could have purposefully exposed President Biden to their cold (illness) to get him sick before the debate.

And he still couldn't muster a convincing rebuttal. Did Trump lie? Of course, that's what he does. 95% of his supporters don't care. The undecided people in the middle might care a little bit, but not if Biden is incapable of convincing them that Trump was lying, and you don't do that by just calling the other guy a liar.

The question the author doesn't want to address is: assuming Biden was prepared the right way, are we confident he would have absorbed the preparation and delivered a better performance? I don't see any reason to believe he would have. Maybe a little better, but not much. He looked like a zombie during much of the debate. That's not the result of preparation. He couldn't articulate coherent themes. I don't believe his handlers completely neglected that and just tried to feed him facts. I think the article is wishful thinking.
