The Kinky Travel Thread

This is a brilliant thread, so glad it is in the library for when I have enough pennies to go to some of these places. :cathappy:
Thanks Fury :rose:

I'm pleased it's there too! I looked for such a thread before I made this one. There was one or two but I couldn't find them.

I'm glad you like it!

I'm not sure if anyone's mentioned the Gypsy Arms B&B in Seattle yet, but I'd love to go stay there sometime. A Litster worked on restoring part of the house, too. :)

Looks fab!

I wanna go! I wanna go!

So funny that this is the club from EG's SE Lit gathering that you all went to!!

I know!

Well now I know where it is! I thought about trying to stay there that night but I'm glad I didn't. I was glad to retreat to a more anonymous facility and room at the end of the night. I am in so many ways, such a private person.

If I stayed there I'd like it to be on a night when no events were going on.

New must have on trips, a pillow.

My butt is now too sensitive to long car trips. I don't know why.

In addition pillows that are too thick or thin do not help me sleep and can hurt my neck and shoulders. King sized pillows don't do good things to me.

Perhaps I'm just getting old.

*sigh*

Hey Furry,
I am going to check out this place in San Francisco next weekend. I will be sure to let you know how it went.

If anyone has been there, I would love to get some more info on it, before I go.

Hi Miss Hotness!

I wish I'd been there but I haven't. It looks way cool!

Maybe someone else has been there? Speak up and let our girl know!

Have a great time!

I wish I had been there! But no. I can't wait to hear all about it.

There are some good restaurants near there that I've been to though.

We'll be staying at the Clift hotel, I hear Asia de Cuba is pretty good there, though a bit pricey. They have one here in Los Angeles that I have been to a couple of years ago, it was decent.
Any suggestions as to bars/restaurants to go to in the area?
Maybe this is a personal question, sorry if you feel intruded upon, but why didn't you go while you were/are in the area?
Just curious, no worries if too close for comfort. :p

When I was in San Fran last was on my honeymoon. That was over 17 years ago! I was so high because the wedding went well and we were so happy that I didn't focus on eating much. Usually I have a list of places I'd like to eat by location, cuisine and price.

The best meal I had was at a play called Tony and Tina's Wedding, I think it was. I enjoyed the salad and baked ziti there.

I actually don't remember eating much there. We went to some fondue place. I had to practically storm the kitchen to get my husband's snails to him.

We also ate in a nice restaurant in some department store. There was this incredible sky light of stained glass there.

After our walking tour of Chinatown we were treated to a wonderful Dim Sum meal.

That's not much help is it?

I heard Amsterdam is the Worlds kinkiest city.

Hopefully it won't change in the present political climate. Is certainly a beautiful city with a charm of it's own and some great places to eat. I'm thinking it is about time I spend a day in there taking pics of the various places I never get to capture when we are rushing through to meet someone or do something.

Hey, that's where I am from! And yes, is is pretty kinky, just the way I like it.

It is pretty hard to get used to the prudeness and lack of respect for others' I encounter here...

Powerexchange SF

OK, I just got back from a weekend in San Fran with my SO.
Great times in general, but the Powerexchange club was a bit (understatement) of a disappointment.

First, we went there on Friday for the first time. The place is huge, three floors. It smelled like a pornotheatre throughout the place, which is easily confused withe the scent of urine, yuk.

I have been to a few couples' places before, this is the first one I've been to that does not have one single room of which you can close the door. I mean, even when you are an exhibitionist, it would be nice to have an area in which you can show off, but not be disturbed by the physical presence of others.
Mind you, this place is for everyone, the bottom two levels are for single men, women, couples, no matter what their orientation is.
The third level is for couples only, although I am not sure how strict that rule was being enforced.

In short, there are several play areas throughout the place, with crosses, horses, loveswings etc, cute. But on Fridays, it is not as busy as one would like to see it, with a ton of lurkers. I did not see much play going on, and as soon as my SO and I tried to get things going by my giving him some oral pleasure, whoever was in the place drew to us like flies to shit.
It was a bit distracting for my SO, since he is not used to the whole mixed crowd, and doesn't find transvestites, trans-genders etc an appealing audience.

The place is open from 10PM to 6AM, which is a good thing, cause you can hit the place after a few cocktails, and still have enough time to scope out your surroundings and get comfortable. The "bartender" (only water and redbull) suggested a nice place within walking distance called Martunis. We had a good time there before returning to see if more people had showed up. That was not the case on Friday.

Despite our Friday experience, we decided to give the place another shot the next night.
This time, we did not get there until about 2AM, and it was considerably busier already. We did our rounds through the place, and watched a couple do a mild session at the entrance level of the club. It drew quite a crowd, again, very mixed.

I got the feeling that that couple might have been affiliated with the place, and besides a little flogging, it was mainly the woman on the cross, and later on the "horse" getting some unfamiliar cock shoved in her various holes...

There was a lesbian couple who did some mild play downstairs, and an amazing tranny got involved for a little while as well.
Throughout the place, vanilla action was to be had, and the crowd was a nice mix of ethnicities and ages.
All in all, we got a little of our visual kink on that night, and it was my turn to receive an oral orgasm from my SO; however, we probably will not make an effort to return to the place.
I think we are spoiled by past experiences in Europe. Also, a smaller setting, with a more discerning entrance policy is much more attractive to us.

There you have it-- our Powerexchange experience. :rose:

Thanks for the report!

*hugs*

Sorry it wasn't more spectacular for you at the club BUT hey San Fran! Woo hoo!!!

I love that city!
