well i usually buy them to actually light them... in this case i lit them mainly because i found the light from the lamp was too harsh, candle light is softer, and it makes the mess my apartment is less visible...

I burn em too these days. A few years ago though I used to buy candles based on prettyness factor...then never burn them. What a waste of money.

Anyway...I'm here on weekends. Sometimes I post if I see something I can add my two cents to, but normally I'll just lurk or make a flyby appearance as I'm running out the door. Been really busy with school work these past few weekends but hopefully after next week that'll all calm down for awhile...

It seems like I been the one changing subjects lately beside Crow. Anyway, I need to work on some schoolwork. I got about two weeks left. I can't believe school is almost over. I think I might have a summer job which would be good. I'll find out tomorrow.

Summer jobs are so over rated. Like I can understand the need to make money but just as soon as you start to get into everything, learn the ropes, enjoy it, it's time to quit cause school starts again...real pain the in butt.

I kind of agree with MyOwn on the overrated thing. However, have a summer job has its points. Such as you can work full-time and make plenty of money and have lots of money saved if you don't have bills or go crazy and buy things.

Anyhow, just been off work for over an hour now. I left my damn notebook in the car, so I can't really do any homework I was planning on getting done. I will have to get up in the morning to get it then.

Since the last few months after starting my new job have been a downfall on class participation and lack of homework, I am hoping I STILL pass the classes. However, I am definitely going to make up for it this fall semester since the schedule I have chosen should work out quite well for me. Each class has a few hours in between them, so that gives me PLENTY of time to do homework from the previous class. I only have to go to class all day for two days a week, then with the breaks in between, I can have my homework taken care of and I won't have to do anything school related during the week, unless of course it's a project. It might be possible I can still work full-time while doing this. I will have to wait and see.

Anyhow, I can't help it if I'm changing topics!! Hope everyone had a great night.

I was kidding, My. I did get that summer job. It also counts toward my work study money which I haven't used yet. I'm going to look for an internship next year. My senior/4th year is going to be crazy to say the least.

I decided to give away my last shift to a colleague - well my dad talked me into it because he said i am too stressed already, and because that would be the only day i can meet with him and with my grandparents before i leave... so i am done with work! yay!

Anyhow, I haven't posted much except for other threads that actually got interesting.

I'm on the last week of the semester, and it's finals week. I'm hoping I will pass all of my classes.

Now that I got a job, I can have more freedom of mind to work on my book during the summer while I take the time off. I hope to have at least a large portion of the book done by July 4th weekend because that's when I will be visiting my dad's family and they want to know how my writing goes. They read a part of the first chapter when I had gotten started, but by now I have about 3 chapters already started and soon to have a 4th chapter up and going. Nothing is completely finished yet. I realized you can attack writing in different ways. This time, I am attacking my book as if it were one of those giant 1,000 piece puzzles. A section at a time.

Yeah, at about that time, I was on my half hour lunch break at work. So, yes, I was busy. I was at work.

Anyhow, how'd finals go so far, or have you done that yet?

I didn't have to take the Sociology exam I was going to take because it wouldn't have been a good idea, but I DID pass the class with a C. I found out today that one of my instructors submitted the damn grades a week EARLY, without giving me a chance to add my final exam grade which should have been THIS week! So, I ended up failing that class with a D. However, I do believe I still get a chance since the final exam is online.

I'm down to my Theatre class, which is also online, but I have until Sunday to get it done.

Anyhow, good luck on anything if you haven't done anything yet.

not this time... I have done this before, in Romania, and it was quite good... THis time I am doing research for my thesis though, so it is nothing organized, I want to do some courses at hte university here but I am organizing it myself, and else I will do interviews.

I don't want to be allready finished with it. I think these may become the most fun years of my life!

ah, you will have fun in university... there is stress but i think there is more fun than stress, and there are a lot of oportunities of different things to try out... and it is true, it is over sooner than one thinks - seems to me like the start of my first semester was just yesterday...
