Did my morning deliveries then unsuccesfully (so far) tried to fix a friends pc. (But I did fix one yesterday, that scored me a free massage next week.)
Brought the damn thing home with me to play with later, settling down to a lunch of tomato soup, toast and a meat pie.

My exiting trainee had an emotional breakdown today at 11:00 and left without a word to me. I receive an e-mail from two of the supervisors that they put her in a cab to take her home.

I've also been told to hold off on the review, that it may not be necessary since she may not be coming back.

screw that... i'd do the review anyway. there are so many special interest groups defending the "rights" of morons that this broad might just luck out and get her fucking job back. i have a feeling you don't want her there.

my suggestion (even though you didn't ask for any) is to document the incident fully and do a complete review as well. anyone subject to this kind of event needs to have a record of it in the event they try to come back or, worse yet, take action against your company for some loosely based legal cause of her breakdown.

Your suggestion is good, I was planning on documenting everything anyway. I think they meant hold off, in that don't knock myself out getting in turned in early as I have until the 19th to submit it.

I don't believe she's cut out for this job and my struggle with the review is because she is a genuinely nice person, just in over her head, and her husband did something really stupid the week before last (wrong end of a fraud scam) and they may lose their home. So in all fairness to her, I can understand the breakdown. They are financially destitute, her disabled mother lives with her, and she has to be aware that she's struggling at this job.


I think the thing that frosted my ass yesterday was the fact that it was her last day with me, last chance to pick my brains and take advantage of everything I had to offer her, answer questions regarding edits that I made....nope, she's surfing the net reading a story about a shark bite that left the tooth in the human's foot (I think that was the bold headline). I just had to walk away from her. Here I am killing myself giving everything I have to help her and she's reading a story on the fucking internet.

Wrong thread for this....on to what I'm doing today.

1-scanning a transcript for an author.
2-trying to answer questions for someone relating to my job that may help her.
3-YOGA this afternoon.
4-paying bills.
