Though I've seen in make it's appearance in the form of one sided crushes and obsessive behavior without reciprocation, I've been thinking about it and I've never experienced one-sided chemistry (as the person who feels the chemistry interested in a person who does not).

So, I was thinking about it, and I think it's because "mutual interest in each other" is, for me, the foundational starting point for chemistry. I might be attracted to, or interested in, someone, but prettily quickly if they don't show interest in me, I move on.

Having thought about it - I don't have any profession related fetishes. Looking back on past significant relationships I count: a water-resources professional, a psychiatrist, a lawyer, a trust-funder, and a paralegal. They were all strong-willed and successful (both in their professions and in their personal lives). I don't know if it counts, but I guess the pattern there is successful, independent, and strong-willed, which are traits that exist in any profession.

There are two professions that I approach with an automatic caution light - bartenders and career waitresses - not from any negative experiences on my own, but drawing from relationships of friends that ended badly, precisely because of the nature of the profession. Maybe that would count as a negative fetish.

Vets, plumbers, and undertakers....no. My personal cliche is having the hots for my UPS guy. I used to date a UPS guy, and ever since then, I have been checking them out with potential lust in my eyes. It would be worth it to hook up to get them to tell me sexy work stories. They ALL have at least a few.

Not a profession, exactly, because none of them do it for a living. But I find I am attracted to men who play piano/keyboards. Most of the men I've dated seem to play. And sometimes I don't even know until after I start dating them. Weird.

An accountant makes me count my blessings

As @beachbaby179 pointed out, it's not so much the profession of musicianship that attracts me, but the talent certainly does.

I also seem to be drawn to cyclists but I think that's just an attraction to similarities and not something that necessarily makes me weak in the knees. (Though, Marcel Kittel and Wout van Aert have some of the best smiles....so maybe?)
