Day 3: A song from a band whose tshirt you have or had

My daughter made sure we all had matching CNCO shirts when we went to Disneyland last time. They're a Spanish speaking boy band out of Miami. Me, the white mama, felt very weird wearing it all day which I'm pretty sure brought her no end of joy πŸ˜…

I think this is the only band tee I've actually owned...

I got it from a website that sold random shirts and didn't even realize it was a tenacious d shirt for a few years. It was in the style of AC/DC but it was JB/KG. I just assumed it was a misprint or some other fail and absolutely loved it.

One day a rando walking down the street looks at it and says "Jack Black and KG; hell yeah! Rock on!!"

All I ever am- the cure
They've always been the cure to my sadness. Now, well, I guess we match. I have bought very few band shirts, 3 in my life actually. The only one I still have I bought at their concert 8 years ago. I'd heard that buying merch at a concert was the best way to actually support a band. I don't know if that's true but I hope it is. Also, grateful that this band fought against Ticketmaster. I was able to afford to travel to their concert because their tickets didn't cost more than my plane ticket and hotels.

Day 3: A song from a band whose t-shirt you have

Went to the Jesse Malin benefit in NYC last night. It was very moving. Jesse Malin had a very rare spinal stroke a few years aga that left him unable to use his legs. A lot of all star power: Lucinda Williams, Tommy Stinson from the Replacements, Butch Walker, Adam Duritz from the Counting Crows, Rickie Lee Jones, Jakob Dylan, The Hold Steady, J Mascis from Dinosaur Jr. and few others that I had no idea who they were and were not announced.

Jesse killed it. Dudes still got it. He was able to stand 2x using a walker.

Jesse was very active in the early 80s NYC hardcore scene and was in a lot of early punk bands. So for me - the best part of the night was Eugene Hutz (and their fiddle player) from Gogol Bordello doing an acoustic version β€œVictim in Pain” by Agnsotic Front with Jesse, Jimmy G (Murphy’s Law and one of Jesse’s best friends) and Vinnie Stigma from agnostic front.

Yep, I have an agnostic front t shirt.

Don't have the shirt anymore, must have been 20 years ago, but here's some HEL! I don't know if their genre exists outside of scandinavia, Viking Rock, but it's really fun to listen to πŸ₯° They write in a very archaic or traditional tone, the language they use isn't really heard in every day conversation.

A few of my girlfriends and I recently went to see The George Michael Experience: The Life and Music of George Michael. Songs from his days with Wham! and from when he collaborated with other artists were featured, too. This was one of my favorite songs by him.
