🧘🏼‍♂️🤾🏻‍♀️Getting Sweaty Again: The 3rd Circuit 🚴🏼‍♂️🏋🏼‍♀️

Summer here can be too hot for hiking, so I tend to get up early when it is cool and go out for a very brisk walk or cycle ride. Once back home it´s jump into the pool for a quick swim. I´m looking forward to the autumn, winter and spring when I can get hiking again and go wild swimming.

Just finished 30 minutes on the bike again this morning. Has my legs feeling like mush but I’ll love it later. 🚲

Like @mobleedzblue I am also enjoying my running.
Did my usual steady 7 km this morning, Come rain and wind. 🏃🏼‍♀️

Ran the first 5 km with a significantly faster pace than planned.
- It is finally getting a bit colder! 🙌🏻
@Cat could you be any more beautiful? Even in the pouring down rain? 💙

So inspiring. It’s storming and raining here too. (But I’m not going to go for a run 🤭)

See, this is the first image I've seen, and I'm just self-aware enough not to randomly compliment someone when it turns out not to be them. Egg. Face.

Now this is confirmed, you looked great, Cat. So powerful in that rain! The endorphins were clearly flowing then!

Planks.

Seriously, I struggle with them. Not the ability to last the time required; the technique itself. I always feel like the centre of gravity is on a weak spot on the lower back.

I think we all have at least one exercise/position we struggle with. This is definitely mine.

(A nice self-reference for me below!)

Yup me too. It’s hard to get the correct form at first. I’ll start out thinking, “oh these aren’t so bad…” and then my trainer would push my butt down so I was in a straight line, and I’d realize, ohhhh.. now I get it. Yup, these suck. 🙃

I seem to always wobble between butt too high and then drop too low and start feeling it more in my lower back.

So what are everyone’s thoughts on the benefits of meat?
I’ve been trying to go veggie for months, finally kinda reached it. Then this week somehow completely caved and been having it every day ☹️
Since I’m now going to hell anyway for being a bitch to innocent animals - is there any boost to be gained from letting myself carry on for a while? How long for? Or should I just stop fooling myself and get back to being veggie asap?

Ha I struggle with endurance and technique! Need to focus on upper body strength

I don’t have a clue, all I know is there is no way that I could go without eating meat. I’ve adjusted the amount of meat I eat and the type over the years. I eat a lot of seafood, fish and chicken. I’ve definitely cut back on beef and mostly cut out pork from my week to week eating.

Honestly, I feel the same about not wanting to harm anything but ... having that 'need'.

I'm sure there are a few compassionate vegetarians and vegans around here. No doubt, they'd be able to suggest meal plans and dietary approaches that can keep up your protein requirements.

... or you can be *that* person and decide that fish isn't a real meat and go pescatarian!

A technicality that I Iiked the idea of before realizing a well treated mammal is probably more ethical because of air ‘drowning’…

But thank you, and you’re right, it is achievable without. Maybe I’ll have some bacon before I go back to it 😂

Which are good adjustments for the environment as well, and probably healthier
Yeah, chicken maybe

Are you getting in enough iron, protein and minerals? Meat cravings could indicate a deficiency in something. I have low iron and when it gets really low I crave red meat, which is something I rarely eat.

I feel you on this. There are a fair few creatures that I just couldn't eat by now.

Surprisingly, squid and octopodes are on that list. Crab too.

Since a cow pushed *me* over last week, they're on my 'Too Mean to Live" list.

That’s actually a really good point, yeah. Maybe that’s the problem
Okay, need to do some research to do this properly

Yeah so true

But seriously? Pictures or it didn’t happen! 😂
Photos? Pull the udder one; I was too busy begging for my life from that monstrous meat machine!

I don't even know why it's so mean to me, you know? It will run over, stop short, then try and knock me over. I guess it has a bonevine to pick with people.

If anything, this is probably why I need to exercise more. To stand up to a bully.

... just didn't expect mine to be called "Buttercup".

Was it this cute little thing? It was, wasn’t it…

What do you think is more important, sleep or exercise?

Lately, I’ve been struggling with finding an extra hour in my day to workout, but also not wanting to get up an hour earlier knowing that I will be tired all day if I do.

Obviously, both are important but which do you think is more beneficial overall?
