🧘🏼‍♂️🤾🏻‍♀️Getting Sweaty Again: The 3rd Circuit 🚴🏼‍♂️🏋🏼‍♀️

End of 23 was rough for me, knee pain sidelined me from riding in Nov and Dec, but I'm doing PT and making improvements. Staying active with walking and rucking, which doesn't seem to bother my knees and hips as much as cycling by a long shot. Hoping for another month off the bike before starting back at it.

After a crazy week going back to work, I finally got the holiday blues out of my system.
I hit the gym Wednesday and yesterday
Wed: Chest, Triceps, Shoulders, Core (a little)
Fri: Back, Biceps, Core

I'm running around today but, I should get 30-40 minutes of my stationary bike in at some point this afternoon

Good morning sweaters! I saw this and thought it belonged here. Have a great day!

That was me today. :)

I started back today with resistance training. It had been too long. A month-long cold and a 2-week vacation put a spoke in my exercise regimen. I only did 2 sets but I look forward to expanding it.

Productive weekend!
Yesterday I hit the gym and did a 40 minute bike ride and did legs for the first time in well over a month.
I have to admit. I tend to skip leg day. I don't have chicken legs, so it's OK. LOL!

This AM I hit the bike for 30 minutes. Now I'm done and ready to be a couch potato and watch with final week of football before the playoffs start next weekend.

On my way to losing the holiday weight, getting back to where I was and hopefully continuing to lose weight and get in shape!!!

I've been at the gym the last two days. Good rotation of Chest, Triceps, Shoulders yesterday. Today I did Back, Biceps, and core.
I've been keeping my caloric intake around 1500. I know that's too low, but I really need the detox from Christmas break.
Also, I'm drinking close to a gallon of water the last two days and peeing every 5 minutes.

I've just got back home from the gym, and so far I have kept up with my plans. 9 visits in 3 weeks. It feels good and already shows result. Not so much at the gym yet, but in my average life. Work is a bit easier, I sleep better and I walk faster.
Next visit is Saturday or Sunday depending on what's happening in life. :)

Big lifting session today along with a 30 minute stretch session.
I actually tried a full body circuit today for a change. At lunch, I'm going to hit the bike for 30-40 min.

I'm feeling good. Back in a routine.

Great thread and very motivating to read everyone's sessions...I'll be back at the gym for a solid leg day tomorrow although when you're petite and small, some of the machines can be tricky to manoeuvre! Anyone else have the same issue?

No not me. I'm 189 cm tall so I can't help you there, sorry.

189cm, must be the air in Skåne :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
Ha ha! Well, when I grew up it wasn't that common with people taller than 175-180cm.
I grew fast in my teens and still have stretch marks on my body from growing too fast for my skin. And it hurts like hell to grow that fast! I was done growing when I was 15. 189cm and 68kg. I was a flagpole! :ROFLMAO:
People always asked "what do they feed you? It must be something in the water!" and so on. But I've never felt different or strange compared to others.

I have some catching up to do on this thread. I missed a couple of posting days.
So...
Friday morning I did another full body circuit for an hour. Then later on that afternoon, I hit the bike for 40 minutes of cardio.
Saturday morning I did the reverse. Cardio in the AM for 40 minutes, then got bored, hit the gym for an hour of full body circuit.
I'm not sure how I feel about the full body circuit. It's not something I have normally done in the past. I usually did isolation training. But it's different for a couple of weeks.

That brings me to today where the plan is to do nothing but watch playoff football all afternoon. It's a rest day finally. I'm trying to go three day on one off.

Have my fitness goal for 2024...to learn how to properly jump rope with all the fun tricks and all. Pray for me.

On another note, I'm surprised the gym hasn't been crazy crowded since the start of the new year! Keep killin' it people!

Mine was until the 9th. LOL

I've been belly dancing since the beginning of the year. I follow two dancers on Instagram, and started a class with one of them at the end of December. I feel like my choreography is improving. I can move my arms and legs at the same time and not look like a robot. It's early to say, but I can feel my lower abs toning. I'll never actually see them, but I know they are there now lol.

The last time I weighed myself I was down 7 pounds from Jan 1, but stress got the better of me over the weekend, and so did cheesecake. If life could stop throwing so many whammies all at once and I stop stress eating that would be super helpful.

You are not the only one. I ate so great last week. This weekend with the football playoffs, I fell off the rails and really undid all the work I did in the gym and on the bike (beer, wings, burgers, pizza, nachos).

I tell my wife and friends all the time I have 6 pack abs. Unfortunately they are buried and nobody can see them. But they are there! LOL
For a bigger guy, I was always athletic. I just need to keep working and get much better about the diet and meal prep. For me that is 85% of the battle,

I'm feeling good physically with my new workouts, and it's helping to reduce my stress level significantly. Between belly dancing and strength training, as well as cutting out the garbage in my diet from the last few months, I'm down 9 pounds, I think my butt is lifting, and my waist is becoming more defined. Hope it's been a positive beginning to 2024 so far for everyone.

I have been in such a rut and bad place mentally and physically. I’ve been going in spurts a few days good, then a bunch of bad.

It’s not helping I’m really upset and hurt with my wife over something. I’m just in a pity party right now and need to snap out of it.

keep up the good work and don’t stop!
