🧘🏼‍♂️🤾🏻‍♀️Getting Sweaty Again: The 3rd Circuit 🚴🏼‍♂️🏋🏼‍♀️

Does everyone not like stretching? I am a stretch fanatic. 🤷‍♀️
I'm a stretching disaster 😐 I know how important it is to do a bit, but I'm such a dense lump that I often skip it.
I did a Pilates class with some older ladies, most of whom had had hip and knee replacements at some point, they were still more flexible than me 😆

Same, I always skip the stretch!
I'm glad I'm not the only one 😅

Vitamin D
Fish Oil
I have no idea if they work. I’m pretty sure the D does not because when I have a blood test the Dr. always tells me my Vitamin D is low. 🤷‍♂️

Do you take your vitamin D with a full meal? Not just an apple or fruit.

Because it is fat-soluble it can be difficult to absorb into the body, it needs to be taken with fat! ☺️

... I have to be mindful of my vitamin D as well, you probably knew it already, just wanted to ask. 🙈

I like to take it with cashews when I’m busy and anything with avocado when I have time to make a snack.

I didn’t know that.
I usually take it after lunch, but that’s my least fatty meal.
I’ll start taking it with dinner and see what happens.
Thanks!!! ❤️

I generally don't weigh myself, but did today as it's part of my new challenge.
Age 58
Height 6'2" 188cm
Weight 238lb 108kg
I took a few pics, scary shit! And really hard not to flex or suck my gut in, which i normally would 😃
I said I'd share some so here they are.
I can see the obvious areas to work on first, legs!
Went to the gym with very little energy (getting over recent covid) butdid some functional stuff.
Anyone ever done bodybuilding?

Yes.

Somewhat similarly, I’m also 6’2” and 236 pounds (down from 255), but 65 years old. Six years ago I started lifting seriously. Initially I was just focused on powerlifting as heavy as possible. After exceeding my expectations, I decided that a bodybuilding program with lighter weights and higher reps would be better for longevity.

Your photos are better than mine from six years ago. I’m also doing a lot more leg work now that hypertrophy is my goal.

So I’m familiar with bodybuilding programs and issues, but I’m not planning to ever compete. Happy to discuss whatever.

I’ve seen y’all in this thread but never fully checked it out because I wasn't really getting sweaty this way. I recently started swimming and doing water aerobics again and it feels great. I'm hoping some solidarity will keep me motivated when it gets cold.

Out for an interval run this morning. Got about halfway through and wasn’t feeling it, so I walked the rest of the way at a brisk pace. One of those days. 😖
Thanks for the motivation and accountability.

I got my interval run in last night and feeling that good burn this morning in my legs.

I should probably stretch huh 🤔

This made me want to run outside!

Except it was 95°F here, so I ran on the treadmill instead. :p

What is that in Celsius? 35°C

Yikes!!! 35°C.. that is madness!! Definitely not a weather to do anything outside - at all. 😳🫠

Well, the treadmill is a good compromise, actually - it might be the preferred way of running in your situation.

I feel a bit silly now, complaining over 23-25°C. But then again, I prefer to run in sub zero temperatures. ❄️

Buuuuut! I went for a run today.. although I am feeling a bit weird, strangely fatigued and having trouble keeping the asthma under control. Oh well! I ran.

Wanna run with me?

Great song selection! I also see you hired a camera person. Congrats. You are moving up in the world. 😆
