Yes!
I don't know how you run subzero without tripping your asthma. I'm also going to expose my ignorance and ask what are the bands under your knees?

Hi all, just an update on my, admittedly, very slow progress. Work and the slow change to my eating and alcohol habits (don't want to rush things.) all getting in the way.
But I'm now off for a few days and aiming to be positive.
For the first time ever I videoed myself exercising, it's a great way to assess your form, might do some more.
Sharing it for a wee while
Keep it going everyone x
Pumped quick one out this morning. A workout yall perverts! Not...well...yanno
Looking good everybody!!
We've had strep and pneumonia running through our house so my workouts have been off but I'm still trying to do something each day. I'm not sick but one of my kiddos has been down for almost three weeks now. I've been doing lots of balance work to prep for skill assessments in roller derby this week.
It was just ok.That is seriously cool, squats with a snatch-row?
- Videoing is the most honest and effective feedback, and makes it so much easier to find the right form.
Looking strong and good - was it a good workout?
No exercise for me today, I'm fighting a cold/flu and maybe a bit of pneumonia.So... What am I doing right now? Breathing before continuing my run.
Last night I had my skill assessments at roller derby and I've officially moved up to level two training.
I'm so proud of myself and of the women I'm training with. We've come a long way, and now we get to start knocking each other down. We were on the rink skating last night for two hours and I'm wiped out this morning. After assessments we started working on weaving in and out of cones, and lateral jumping which I thought looked scary as hell but turned out to be not so bad. In a few more weeks we'll be assessed and if we pass we make the team. Here we go!
I don’t know if I should “like” this or put a sad face. I’m going to put a heart face because it’s you.. but I’m sorry your ankle is bothering you.Congrats!!
The whole roller derby is a crazy thing in its own, but you are doing it!!
In my eyes, you might be one of the most fearless and impressive people I know!
Myself? - it was a floor training kinda day for me. My ankle was being obnoxious.

Kicking ass and Taking Names!Last night I had my skill assessments at roller derby and I've officially moved up to level two training.

Yes. At least for running. Rain is enjoyable to run it, but too cold kicks up my asthma. Extreme heat is just a plain ole health hazard. I never run outside if it's above 95°F and prefer not to above 90°F.Continuing along the foul weather train of thought, do you let the weather influence your workout or do you just plod on, rain or shine? (I suppose if you’re always indoors for workouts, this might not apply.).
Ah. I see.- the bands under my knee, that is my knee straps, for runner's knee and other silly knee pain that sometimes occur.
Huh. Perhaps it's a matter of what you're used to? I'm on the Texas coast, and the humidity here is incredibly high during the summer. (Often the winter, too. ) The cold air of winter - if we have one - just tightens up my lungs.- the reason why I can keep my asthma under control.. I suppose it is because of the humidity, the colder it gets the lower the humidity. Up here it is kinda high.. All year, and somehow it gets easier to breathe when it is subzero.. obviously, when it goes below -10°C I will need a buff to breathe through, otherwise the cold air will hurt a bit. But, truly.. it is so much more comfortable.. I might be an outlier, or just used to it ).
I . . . really am going to have to start doing this at some point.- Videoing is the most honest and effective feedback, and makes it so much easier to find the right form.
Wow. That all looks so high tech! I just elevate with an injury. Now I realize I'm a complete slacker.Myself? - it was a floor training kinda day for me. My ankle was being obnoxious.
Interesting. . . .I take a variety of supplements, but the one that has made a huge difference is a nitric oxide booster. It helps put more oxygen in your blood. Most workout powders have some in it.
