So many.

My preference is for straight slightly overweight girls but damn... Stella and Charley. (does this mean I'm gay?)
No worries, I think you are a METRO Male, or at least I will keep thinking that if you at least shave your nose hairs, balls and butt?

Well, according to the definition of this thread, it all depends on whether you lie there and let such ladies do things to you, or if you do things to them. If the former, then you are not gay--non-particiapation and mere enjoyment makes you heterosexual. If the later, then, yes, you are. Unless, of course, you deny it enough times. Saying something isn't so makes it not so.

("George Bush is *not* president of the U.S., he is NOT, president of the U.S".....Darn. Why isn't this working?)

Keep saying it until January 20th 2009...

Direct to UseMePlease28:

I'm not a person to take first impressions and hold on to them forever...but I do think this was a BAD first impression.

If you're worried that having been involved in a homosexual encounter makes you gay...and you DID come off like you were "worried" about it, including some denial about being bisexual that looks a bit homophobic, then you are going to get a negative reaction here.

To return to the earlier distinction I tried to make, it's like you were in a primarily African-American bar and went to great pains to point out that having a Nigerian grandfather didn't make you black. What kind of reaction do you think it would garner? How do you think it sounds in the ears of the audience?

Now...if you're looking to see if you qualify for a scholarship given out to gay men because someone used to blow you while you were exploring your sexuality? I would not like that, since I would feel that someone more likely to truly have "gay male" as their sexual identity would be more appropriate. But I wouldn't interpret it as homophobic.

Simply stated...you are gay if YOU identify yourself as a gay male. Not when anyone else does.

In high school, I once had a guy tell a girl I was interested in that I was gay, so that he could reduce her interest in me. Since he wanted to date her himself. Did that make me gay? It did not. Did it make me bi? No. Did my joking around with you about blow jobs make me bi? No.

Only you know whether you are straight, bi or gay. Personally, I'm more interested in people than in plumbing. So far, I've only fallen in love with women. But if I fall in love with a man, I'm sure that I'll figure out how to handle the sexual side of things. I also know there are a couple of guys that would be happy to assist me in that.

This is not to say I can't look at Matthew McConaughey or Nathan Fillion and say...OK, maybe. But I currently consider myself a straight male. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Choose your words better. Using offensive language tends to offend.

At least we got some good soup jokes out of this.

BTW, the girl found out the truth and was my date for the senior prom and remains the one whose face pops into my mind when the words "first love" are spoken...

Wow...what an intrigueing insight into a mind.

Evidently this guy needs to think about what he's saying, who he's saying it to and consider how best to communicate his queries.

As someone said this is a particularly writterly part of the board and a heavy emphasis is placed on the ability to communicate. If you don't communicate effectively how can you expect to get the answers you desire?

That and, as has been mentioned before- proclaiming that you come across as an asshole a) suggests you've been pulled up on it before- so stop doing it, b) suggests that you set out to be one in order to rile some innocents c) suggests you have nothing better to do than to inflate a lacking persona that evidently needs a boost- on the internet no less.

We're a pretty helpful lot- a family if you will, and if you ask nicely and in the correct way, you'll get a better response than that which you have thus far received.

Manners go a long way and just so happen to be free. Remember that you are talking to real people with opinions and the ability and intellect to correct you. Don't be surprised when you are corrected and/or an annoyed group of people accumulates as a result of what seems a rushed and inconsiderate set of unstructured questions.

Well goodness me...............that'll teach me to go to bed early, how DARE I be tired.

I missed all the fun!!!

But at least it explains why all those damn soup-can AVs have appeared, that was really bugging me.

Welcome useme to the wonderful world of the AH. I'm sorry that your post has caused so much hoo-hah but round here you've got to really watch your words because the authors here are very fond of'em :)

You probably now know that there's alot of gay folks among our numbers, several bi folks too. So anything like this immediately sets people on the defensive. I'm quite confident you didn't mean to offend anyone, that you were looking for opinions and well, you can't deny you found'em eh?

To answer your question, doing stuff with another bloke proable at least makes you bi curious, if not out and out bi or gay - but I don't think these things are ever *that* easy - there's more sexualtiy than thee are labels to categorise it.

They love to seperate themselves from the GB here, but this thread just illustrates to me how we're exactly the same here as there but maybe with slightly less swearing :D In future though, to get a general opinion as you were seeking the playground or the General Board may be the best places to get it :)

Damn EL, you really just may be the nicest person in the world. Seriously.
And oh, I hope to...whatever he isn't gay, since he's supposed to marry me and all that. :p

OK.. there is something I need to say right up front... I tend to come off as a complete asshole when typing anything online. That said... I enjoy a debate...
I have one to start if anyone is interested...

Do you think if a guy let another guy suck his dick for almost a year.. almost daily...and once let a gay guy watch him jack off, does it make that person gay?

I say no.. cause I have been there done that.. and im not gay.

I can decorate well tho. and have this unusual desire to hang out with bobby trendy. LOL

all joking aside tho... just because you had sex with someone from the same sex.. does that make you gay? or does the self feeling of being gay and proclaiming it make you gay?

please try to avoid saying im Bi.. cause im not bi either.

anyway.. to make it more straight.. no pun intended.. well maybe...

Are you automatically to be labeled homosexual when you have had experiences with the same sex?

Im expecting anger ranting and vulgarities... hell even call me a fag if you want.. lol it makes it all the more fun for this passive agressive man over here.

no idea, but uh, why is it bothering you so much if you're not gay or bi, hm?

ETA: on a more honest and serious note, i had sex with a guy just a couple of years ago even though i'm a lesbian. i went to a tiny college in buttfuck iowa and there was no nightlife or lesbianism to be found. so i went for the last best thing imo.

however, it doesn't make me straight or bi. in other cases though, perhaps there would be an argument for tri or omnisexual people.

i personally think you've raised some interesting questions. :rose:

Its not an alt so you neednt cast votes as to who it is...

I know Rise_Again was clear it's not. But I was curious about Cloudy's comment. Not trying to stir things up or point fingers, just trying to follow their meaning.

Somewhere in the mess, , I found this ;

the stuff that happened with me was when I was very young and not even able to get off anyway.
That's a bit spooky, how old was the boy that sucked you? Your age, or a little older? An adult?
I was just bouncing the idea off people to see if more people assume im gay because of this.
Only incredibly ignorant people, of which there are, in this world, a plethora.
I once saw a television show about this sort of thing and it said during those young years if a guy isn't with a guy its a sign they might be homosexual. this sounds funny and weird but the logic is this... if your close friends with girls as a guy when your pre-teen.. then you are most likely closer personality wise to a girl or to a feminine sort. I dont know if its true.. Just something they said. anyway.
In this day and age, a guy who is a "feminine sort" is likely to get laid seven ways from sunday by those very same girls, because he knows how to talk their language. (We call 'em metrosexuals these days) And many of the gay men I know have no girl in them whatsoever. But as I said there are far more ignorant people out there than smart ones.
if you think this is just to get a rise.. then simply don't respond to it.. if its bothering you that Im talking about a sexual experience I had when very young.. then im sorry for that... I get the feeling that because I started out saying people assume im an asshole that everyone latched on to that idea. either way its my fault... so im sorry. I just thought it would be somthing worth talking about.
You're right- it is something worth talking about.

It isn't an ALT and someone with just 144 posts really shouldn't be one to go making such conclusions, especially if said person hadn't been around for a while...Unless you, of course, are an ALT as well.

how does one know when an ALT is and ALT?
I'm not sure I've ever come across one.

on a different note.. I think I'm gonna go watch "big trouble in little china" that kick ass old 80s movie... Just dried off a pretty girl... and now to the movie...
(grabs usemeplease28 by the scruff of his neck and forces him back on his knees) Don't think you quite unnerstan' yo' PLACE, boy!

Fuck that old 80's movie...I'm gonna dry YOU off like a pretty girl! Gonna dry that big dollop of steamy, pearlescent man-cum of mine that's oozin' down that pale, Christina Ricci forehead of yours...then I'll rub it into your skin, clear up those pimples on yer cheeks and market-pimp your pretty grill to Revlon as the new face of beauty...selling the magical, mystical, restorative cosmetic properties of my jizzum in the process...and you're gonna love me for it. Doesn't mean you're gay, but you're gonna love me anyway.

:p
