Only the hacking cough is left. Believe me, I feel better than I sound!

The sunshine has been lifting my spirits (and the temperature, just a bit!) and I can say the winter hasn't been THAT bad....

Glad you're feeling better :) Hmmmm about the Winter not being that bad, I think I need to head to where you are. I'm soooooooooo sick of snow and plowing!!!! Come on Spring!!!!!

About 10 degrees here right now and going down. Sassy..I see I'm 18 days older than you. Another Libra :)
 
Cold

Sure wish it would warm up. Tired of wearing a hat in the house. At least the wind isn;t blowing. This very old house gets very cold when that happens.

11 o'clock news says temp is minus 7. And expected to go much lower before the dawn. No PI - ot's not spring yet - but it's coming.

Temps

6 pm news says temp is 32!!! That is the highest in many many days - and nights. But I still would like someone to snuggle with. Lots of snow still out there - but it is going - I can see the mailbox from my dining room. And fun this morning watching the wild turkeys. They came to within about 20 feet of the window. And how funny to watch a big black and white cat stalking them - but so afraid that when the turkeys took a few steps toward the cat - the cat turned and ran!

I finally saw some turkeys here yesterday too. First time in a month or so. We still have a good three feet of snow on the ground but the top is crusted with ice so they were on top of that. I was coming down the road to the house last night at 4AM and had a skunk walking down the middle of the road that I had to wait for. Everything and everyone is anxious for Spring!!!!
 
Got some cracked corn at the grocery today for the turkeys. Will get more during the week at a feed mill. And felt good enough to do a load at the laundromat as well. About this time last year I was at my lowest point - just before I started physical therapy. My therapist gets a big grim whenever we discuss how far I have come.
