Arizona! The new thread

Clocks

This is just a friendly reminder to all the local Zonies; be sure to not set your clocks back one hour this Sunday. :D

Just why would I want to do that?

This is Arizona - I be a thinkin'. :D
Dave.

Seriously? You guys really didn't read what I wrote?

Go back and read it again.

Well, I will be sleeping in on Sunday and not caring a hoot about who turns their clocks to where :)

I got it

You are a sneaky feller - Really I missed that NOT in your statement - So much for speed reading huh?

I saw the not turn clocks back.. but why would someone want to anyway??? Daylight savings time doesn't end until November anyway... Not that it has an impact there in the sunshine state..

Home

Texas is treating me well these days... How is life in the sunshine filled desert?
Well Bunny,

We have given up the RV life for our home here in Chandler. We have been here all summer and did very well with the heat (good AC). Yep I finally got to damned old to drive anymore and I decided to quit long distance driving before the inevitable happened (This is what being a retired trucking industry and an insurance adjusters does for you).

2morrow I will be 84 years young ( and still chasing (well looking).
Dave. :rose::kiss::rose:

Well shoot, I was looking for pictures of two girls jumping out of a cake, representing Miss Bunny and myself, but couldn't find one.... guess they don't make cakes big enough?

Anyway, happy birthday Dave! :)

Okay, now that they put a crown on top of that new church, it looks like a freakin' Burger King.

I'm a Gilbert dweller, I seldom post here or on any of the other boards. I just saw this thread and was about to ask the same question.

Half a years total rainfall in about 12 hours is amazing, back yard flooded and all the neglected plants are thanking me. (LOL) I ended up driving around town a very few hours after the rain stopped and was amazed at how well everything had drained and dried out in a place I had thought was the the back end of a horse only a few years ago.

I do hope everyone else was able to stay dry and keep themselves safe. Even at this later time for gawds sake do not be a donkeys southern exposure and stay the hell out of flooded or blocked off streets.

I hope you all are safe and dry.

Mike

Nobody here?

'Twas a nice morning in the west valley, gentle breeze, lovely in the shade.... although I think it's time to close up now and throw the a/c on.

Indeed, it 'twas a fair day in the Valley of the Lonesome.

That's good. They're calling for more weather tonight, though.

Hey did anyone listen to KDKB today around midday? WTH was that all about????
It was all rock songs made to sound like Vegas lounge music, and they kept saying "KDKB the cheese". Funny, but seriously weird.

Wow, I didn't think KDKB was even still relevant anymore. Then again, I'm sure my music collection is bigger than theirs.

Not so much relevant, but comforting.... at least I always thought so. Usually some feel good tunes.
Now, 93.3 is an alternative station calling itself "alt az" or some such.

K-D-K-B ROCKSSSSSSS ARIZONA>>>>>>

When I was about 11 or 12 A DJ there named Toad Hall was my Sunday School teacher. We got to go down there and cut some promo spots.

I was usually switching the dial between KDKB, KUPD, and KSLX. But KUPD was predominantly my favorite.

Ah, the eighties. . .
