That's not necessarily true. If you urged people to only do what they enjoy and leave all other things to develop naturally, you'd be doing your alignment pretty well. Any negative side effects would be on that person's head, not yours. You were just an advisor after all.

That would be because you're not retarded.

Uniformed authority figures are supposed to be intimidating. That's the point. Anyone who isn't intimidated by them is either even more dangerous than the officer(s) in question, stupid, crazy or a combination of the three. The addition of the dickhead factor and male gender is almost redundant. First off, there's the whole power corrupts thing. Even if it doesn't actually corrupt the person in question, other people will see them as automatically corrupt because they are in a position of authority that they themselves do not have. Jealousy is easily disguised as righteous anger. Male, though? Uniformed authority figures should eliminate, to the fullest extent, any gender specifics. They have a uniform on and they wield authority. That supersedes gender.

Ot, at least it should. Sometimes this just doesn't happen. But, that's supposed to be the idea.

There are a thousand possible explanations for this. None of them are verifiable without an in depth conversation with you which I'm not comfortable having with you on the thread.
