"𝗖𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗿𝗰𝗸’𝗼 is a 𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗹 𝗯𝗲𝗱 in 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗮. It is the 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱'𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗮𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 which is located in a quarry approximately 4.4 km northwest of 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗿𝗲 (Chuquisaca Department, 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗮).

𝐆𝐄𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐆𝐘:The 𝗯𝗲𝗱 is 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 of 𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲, associated with large, 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 and 𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘀 of 𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗮𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀 (𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗹𝘀) in the 𝗘𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 suggests an open 𝗹𝗮𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 environment.
𝙂𝙚𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙂𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙥: ᴛʜᴇ ᴘᴜᴄᴀ ɢʀᴏᴜᴘ𝙂𝙚𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: ᴇʟ ᴍᴏʟɪɴᴏ𝙂𝙚𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙜𝙚 ᴍɪᴅᴅʟᴇ ᴍᴀᴀsᴛʀɪᴄʜᴛɪᴀɴ (ʟᴀᴛᴇ ᴄʀᴇᴛᴀᴄᴇᴏᴜs)

Approximately 𝟲𝟴 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗼, an 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗲𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝘄 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 of cubic meters of 𝗮𝘀𝗵 into space. This matter, upon falling onto the 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀, which were still fresh, covered them with a 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 that 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 them from 𝗲𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰 and 𝗽𝗹𝘂𝘃𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, that would have otherwise erased them in a matter of hours. Later, 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘀 and 𝘀𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 carried by the 𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 that flowed into the 𝗹𝗮𝗸𝗲 began creating additional 𝘀𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀 that turned into rock due to the 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 that was 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 on them through 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 of 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀.

The main 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸-𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 is almost 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 with a 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 area of ~𝟲𝟱,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗺𝟮. Nine different 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲𝘀 of 𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗮𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀 have been documented. Amongst them are several trackways of 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗱𝘀, 𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗱𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘆𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗮𝘂𝗿𝘀 and 𝘀𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗱𝘀, with the latter group accounting for 26% of the trackways. These 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀 give an 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 into 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗿 and 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀.
