Biker's Run..........................

Hi, I am blueeyes sister in S. Ga. I just wanted to take a minute to Thank all of you for showing my favorite sister so much support

...support?.....the boys do pretty good by themselves...<grin>...

It is good to see you here Pam.....with all the threads out there to choose from, I know I will see you canvasing the Playground in no time...

I do hope the fun and events for this holiday season make every other event pale in comparision....;)

Good morning, girls and boys...:)

I still can't get used to this darkness so late in the morning. I want sunshine. I'm beginning to feel like a mole...:( We received another dusting last night about an inch to two inches. Then they say we are in for rain on Sunday. Well, it is New England...

Blueeyes hope your trip was a safe one...:)

Picked up my ham for Christmas. I was unable to find a canned ham so I ended up with a spiral cut ham... Today is my last day of work. I don't have to return to the cave until after Christmas...:D I can kick back and enjoy the holiday.

OK it's off to get ready for work. Want to wish everyone a super great day.

Stay safe, stay warm, stay dry, and stay upright. Ride'n hard, put away wet...:)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas every were I go...:D

good morning all......I hope that everyone is having a great week so far, and that you all are about ready for the holidays........<grin>

Jaded, darlin', I made the first leg of the trip with no problems.....I was in that truck of mine for 9 hours yesterday, but that was ok.....I watched my speed the majority of the time, and did not have any blue light specials come up behind me.........I am going to see my mom for a bit today, and then get that handsome oldest grandson of mine around 2, and head on out for the last part of the trip..........

Pam, I will be at your house tonight, maybe late but I will be there......You know how it is when I get to visiting with those kids of mine, they do not want to let me leave to quick........I am so looking forward to seeing you.....Tell, Larry that I expect him to be waiting with a big hug........I need one about right now from a guy that I know that loves me unconditionally..............

Jaded, I hope that you enjoy the cooking that you are going to be doing.....It is fun when you can get in a kitchen and just create........but it is alwys better when you have others in there with you, and it is a big party........

Tak to you all soon........:kiss::rose::kiss:

Good Morning all,,,, I see you have been busy Jaded. It's nice to know there are always friends here.

Welcome to all the new names and faces. Sorry I don't get in here as often as some,,, I'll try a little harder. Just don't usually have anything important to say.

Hoping everyone has a very Merry Christmas and if you are traveling that you stay safe.

I'll be on the road myself,,, heading down to see the kids and grandkids.

No riding of the bike for the time being.. too much snow and ice here, however it is trying to melt some.

Have a great day everyone.

^5's to the guys,
:rose:'s for the ladies.

Good morning, everyone...:)

Well, I am officially off from work until next Thursday....:D The place is clean and decorated so I am in cruise mood. It's an overcast morning here in Woodbury. I have given up on the weather guessers prediction lately they don't have a clue. But then again this is New England where the weather is constantly changing...

Good to see you made the first part of your journey safely Blueeyes. Wise decision on the speed. Around this time of the year people are out on the road under the influence of happy juice. It seems that people have lost their ability to drive recently and this time of the year they truly believe driving drunk improves their skills... I know I've done it. But with age DOES come wisdom. Now as far as the comment about others in the kitchen with me at the same time. My kitchen is very small. The place I am moving to the kitchen is at least three time the size of my current kitchen. Any of you ladies want to join me in the kitchen you'll need to be butt naked. Then ol'e Jaded will show ya just how dam creative I can be. You may find yourself walk'n a little fun! But you'll be wearing a dam big smile...:D and won't have a care in the world. That you can take as a promise or fact which ever you'd like...

Good morning to you KnightWings. Had been sorta wondering where ya been. Wings you a part of the Biker's Run family. Where always happy to see ya drop by even if it's just to say hello. Brother this is your other home. Your always welcome here. I am very happy to hear that you have been with your family. I recently got to see my big scrapping handsome grandson out of Texas. I will see them again some time this summer...:D Nothing like seeing loved ones during the holidays.

I recently talked to GutterGoddess on the phone and she is doing well. She has been busy with work and just returned from an ocean cruise. Always good to here from her. She is going to help with the chili cook off in May.

I thought I would share a little secret I do during the holiday season. It make your whole entire house smell great. Take a tablespoon of cinnamon, a tablespoon of crushed gloves, and a tablespoon of allspice add them to a medium size pot of water and mix well. Place the pot on the back burn of your stove or on your wood burning stove. Set the temperature on warm. The fragrance will go through your entire house add a Christmassy odor to the place.

OK time to start my day. Want to wish everyone a super great Friday...:D

My offer is still open to those in the area that don't have a place to go on Christmas Day to share a good meal. The invitation is to both members and lurkers on are little thread. I am one hell of a super great cook. If you are a very attractive and super intelligent woman you can spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day...

Ride safe, stay warm, stay dry, and stay upright. Ride'n hard, put away wet.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas every where I go...:D

Good Mornin' from Missouri:

Was sittin' around doodling with words in my head and I figured that being a biker makes it ok to screw around with some Christmas Carols.

Now I also realize that some of you hold this holiday near and dear, so if nudity and vulgar language offend you....this ain't the place for you!

GOOD KING WENCESLAUS

Good King Wenceslaus looked out
on the feast of Stephen.
When the snow lay round-a-bout,
deep and crisp and even.

Brightly shown the stars that night,
though the frost was cruuuuuuuel.
When a poor man came in sight,
gathering winter fuuuuuuuuel.

Hey, you old, poor ass sod,
why you stealing all my woooood.
If you touch another piece,
I will thrash you goooood.

FROSTY THE SNOWMAN

Frosty the Snowman,
has a bigger cock than thee.
But it's so damn cold,
as the North Wind knows,
She won't let it between her knees.

Yeah. I know. SICK.

"BUT THAT'S THE WAY, UH HUH, I LIKE IT, UH HUH, UH HUH"!!!!!!

Never was snowed in. Only got 6 or 7 inches of wet heavy stuff. Temps went back up into the mid 40's with some rain, so right now it's pretty much like my mind....just a few piles laying around/as good as gone!

Later.

Hey, how is everybody? The weather was warm today and I went for a ride.......it was great to get out on the bike. I hope you all have a great Christmas. :D

That's funny. The news reported that you guys where iced in and without power for over a week... Tree's down everywhere and electrical transformers sparking... You weren't arounds so I assumed you were in that mess!

Hey, brother...:)

Don't talk about gett'n out on the bike. I am having withdrawals and really need a fix. Are high today was 32 degrees. My girl is snuggled away for the winter. This time of the season about all I can do is give her a hug every now and then. It has to hit 50 degrees before I head out on two wheels...;)

Welcome to Biker's Run. Enjoy your stay with us and have fun. When here you always have friends. We are sorta one big happy dysfunctional family. Here it's not as important what you ride that it is that you get to ride...:D

Good morning, girls and boys...:)

It's another overcast chilly morning here in the small New England town of Woodbury, CT...:( Wonder if we will ever see the sun again...

Well, today is cookie day. I have decided to limit my cookie making to two types of cookies. Keep in mind that desserts are not my thing. I have decided upon the traditional ginger bread cookie. I have a large Christmas tree cookie cutter and once baked I will decorate each cookie like a Christmas tree...:D The second type of cookie refers to my Swedish heritage. Swedish Christmas cookies...:D I decided against making the fresh strawberry pie. I figure I will have enough sugar rush lying around the place.

The official Christmas Day menu for The house of Jaded stands as:

. Appetizer will be deviled eggs (haven't had them in a while).
. A honey glazed spiral ham prepared to perfection.
. A fresh loaf of bakery rye and pumpernickel bread.
. Provolone, Swiss, and American cheese.
. Lettuce and sliced tomato.
. Mustard, Mayo, and horseradish sauce.
. Jaded's home made refrigerated pickles.
. Jaded's German potato salad.
. Jaded's California cole slaw.
. Ginger bread cookies.
. Swedish Christmas cookies.
. Hot coffee, hot chocolate (with whipped cream), soda, and ice cold beer.

I figure I would go with sandwiches and salads. Kinda keep the day simple. Yet have a delicious meal at the same time.

I do hope everyone is enjoying the holiday weekend so far...:D

Stay warm, stay dry, and stay upright. Ride'n hard and put away wet!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas every where I go...:D

...I had thought I was finished with all the Christmas paties but I had one more...

...the bar was an open one....the food was late....folks were tipsy when I got there and they cheered when I walked in like a wolf would cheer for fresh meat...

...the pretty wife of a fellow superintendent hung on me most of the night, the music was too loud, and drinking Bud from the bottle was uncool to many present but, somehow, I made it to a time I can honorabley withdraw...

...with lipstick on my collar (I haven't a clue how it got there...honest), I managed to circumvent the law and put the truck where only 4 wheel drive will get it out and fall dead tired into my bed...

...my last thought was that if the roads stay as clear as they have been for the last few days, I'm going to trade the heated truck for my knees denting the gastank...

...ya'll have a great Christmas...

<sidenote>

...Lawerance of Arabia owned seven bikes...he choise to die on one....pick your death carefully...as a warrior or in a woman....or on a bike.... ....

Evening All, looks like we're in for a short warm up tomorrow and some people are talking about getting out their bikes. Not here as the driveway is still covered with ice and snow and there are 6' plus snowbanks on both sides of the road. I'm still waiting until Spring unfortunately. :(

On a good note I finally ordered my Harley Rendezvous tickets a few days ago!!! Woooo Hoooo...the best biker party on the East coast!!!! C'mon Rendezvous '08!!!!!!

Met and talked with Michele Smith from American Thunder from Speed TV today. Got some pics and some 8" x 10" glossy's signed. She's a real sweetheart to talk to.

Everyone have a good one what's left of it!!!!

Good morning, everyone...:)

I understand it is supposed to reach the mid 40's around here today with rain off and on. As long as the weather doesn't turn cold for tomorrow evening and it freezes. Tomorrow night they put the luminaries out along Main St. and I want to get out for a nice long walk Christmas Eve. I can't believe that yesterday was only the start of winter. We have already had some 17 inches of snow this year. I hope this isn't one of the 72 inches of snow years that Connecticut is so famous for.

Yesterday, I sensed a cold coming on and the head is a little stuffy. Been pumping vitamin 'C' for the last couple of days. I want to get rid of this cold before next weekend. There is a possibility my son may be around with my very beautiful grand daughter.

Today is cookie baking day...! I am not sure why I am so into Christmas this year... Perhaps it's boredom. Had a hell of a time locating one of the spices for the Swedish Christmas cookies yesterday and had to do some running around. Tomorrow I will make the potato and Cole slaw salads. The always seem to best after setting overnight in the refrigerator... Then Christmas Day I will throw the ham in the oven...:D I haven't been doing much good cooking recently so this will be a treat.

Hazeny, hear ya on Michelle Smith. Haven't had the opportunity to meet her in real life but I have caught the show on dish a couple of times. Seem like a righteous biker babe. Noth'in like a little blonde hottie biker chic as a ride'n partner. Got ask is she as cute in real life as on the show...

Well, gang I need another fresh cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee and get my day going.

One of the things I found a little sad this year is the lack of people decorating for the holiday. There aren't anywhere near as many place lite up this year. With the ridiculous electric charges from a power company and the piss poor economy I guess many people can't afford it. It's getting a little tiring that the middle class is always taking it in the ass... Seriously this government made up of degenerates and gangsters needs to be replaced. Remember those that can't do become politicians and like leaches live off of those that can...:( I really has gotten pretty sad. OK, soap box put away...:)

Stay warm, stay dry, and stay upright. Ride'n hard and put away wet.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas every where I go...:D

Morning All, Getting everything battened down here today for the high winds and t-storms...then snow after that. They are saying sustained winds in the 20 to 30 mph range and gusts as high as 65 mph tonight. UGH!!! We're over 1000 feet in elevation and looking right to the West there is nothing to break the winds as we're it. Hopefully the power stays on.

Jaded, Michele Smith was real nice and spent time talking with us for probably 5 to 10 minutes. And yes she's very beautiful in person as she is on her show. Her personality makes her all the more so too!!!!

Everyone have a great one!!!

INT WTF

Someone is actually going to talk about motorcycles and rallies?

And here I was beginning to think I was in a Kaffee Klatch!

I'm not really into "Company" events. Who is this sponsored by?

Where, when, how?

Don't leave me hangin'.

good morning everyone.....I am still here in S. GA, and I do so wish that I would of loaded my bike up and brought it with me.......it is a little rainy off and on, but there has been a few hours that i could of riden it.......the weather is a little cool but it is not bad at all........today would of been the perfect ay to get out there and ride for a few hours.............but then again, this is the day that I will be with all my children and grandchildren as well as other members of the family, so I do not need to be thinking about riding my bike......

Jaded, that menu of yours sounds very appealing......I especially like the thought of the whipped cream.......but i do not think that i would want it in my hot chocalate........<grin>........I can always think of better things to do with whipped cream...........

I will be in S. GA today, and this afternoon I will head back to N. GA......spend tomorrow with my oldest son and his wife, and then I will spend Christmas Day with my mom.........I think I am just going to kick back and relax on Wed, so that I will be ready to hit the roads once again on Thu, going back to VA.....

It is always alot of fun to visit, but it is just as nice to return back home once again.......

All of you up there with all the snow and the ice.......please be careful, drive safe, and watch out for the fools on the road.......

Try to stay warm and dry..............but have lots of fun.....

Merry Christmas to All.......:rose::kiss::rose:

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house...

Good morning, girls and boys...:)

I couldn't sleep anymore. I have a cold starting and the coughing woke me up. The head's all stuffed...:( At least pretty much every thing is done for Christmas Day.

It's this time of the year that I envy all you people that live in the warmer areas. It's been almost a month since I have been out on my girl and I am having withdrawals. However, I am into holiday festivities and New England is pretty hard to bet as far as holiday spirit. It is difficult to bet seeing fresh snow drifting down and the scent of wood burning in a fireplace. All the decorations. People being warm and friendly...:) It's one of the good things about living in a small New England town of approx. 4000 people. I know probably half the town...:D

Tonight the Masons will have Main St. lined with luminaries...:) It is beautiful to walk along colonial Main St. with its large house on Christmas Eve. To be given the opportunity to wish your neighbor a very merry Christmas. It's a time were time seems to reverse to a happier time. If we could only keep that holiday spirit all year long...:D I will wrap myself up nice and warm and get out this evening to walk Main St. Yep, tonight I will be a street walker for a bit...;)

Blueeyes, I am glad to see that you seem to really seem to be enjoying yourself. Me think'th that you were ready for a bit of a break. Thursday you will be heading back to VA a refreshed woman.

Hazeny, we kinda got the same storm you had. It wasn't to bad. I got out early in the morning to finish some grocery shopping before the rain hit. Wasn't sure if it would stay as rain or not. After all this is New England...;)

OK, it's off to get another cup of coffee and get the day started.

I want to wish everyone the happiest of holidays...!

Stay warm, stay dry, and stay upright. Ride'n hard and put away wet...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas every where I go...:D

....I have some superficail rust in my gas tank....anyone ever have to deal with this problem?.....

A very Merry Christmas to one and all... ho, ho, ho

Good morning, girls and boys...:)

It a light grey warm morning here in the small town of Woodbury. Just wanted to come on early to wish all the Merriest of Christmases. May today leave your with lots of special memorys...:D

Stay warm, stay dry, and stay upright...:)

....I have some superficail rust in my gas tank....anyone ever have to deal with this problem?.....

Find a local automative machine shop and find out if they have crush walnut shells cleaning process. It is a procedure basically used to de carbon cylinder heads. It will also take rust off of a surface. Once the procedure has been performed be sure to rinse the tank out several time to eliminate any powder residue left in the tank or that residue will find its way into the carbs.

good morning all..........just wanted to jump on here before I got my day started and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas...............:rose:
