Biker's Run..........................

Find a local automative machine shop and find out if they have crush walnut shells cleaning process. It is a procedure basically used to de carbon cylinder heads. It will also take rust off of a surface. Once the procedure has been performed be sure to rinse the tank out several time to eliminate any powder residue left in the tank or that residue will find its way into the carbs.

and then take it to a radiator shop and have them seal it so that it won't do it again. You can also buy some do-it-yourself sealers but i've found that the old saying, 'you get what you pay for' is true in this case. i'd also think about replacing the fuel filter while your at it.

another good preventitive measure is to keep the tank full with a fuel stabilizer during any long down time periods .

good luck!
elbiscayne

p.s. ain't it great owning the most expensive form of 3rd class transportation in the world?

...thanks for the info....

...when the carbs were being rebuilt, my mechanic noticed some residue of rust in them and suggested having the tank cleaned.

I took a military issue probe light and noticed only small amounts of surface rust near the top of the tank. I will do as you both say and treat a spare tank I happen to have and prep it for installation before the spring...better safe than sorry when it comes to carbs and the fuel system.....

Ya'll have a good Christmas.....and Blueeyes, thanks for routing these parts up to me...:rose:

not a problem SG.......glad to help a fellow biker anyway that I can.....Hope that you all had a Merry Christmas.........

I have had a great time.....I have also had some very disturbing news and sad news while I have been down here, and I am ready to go home......I may be hitting the road tomorrow going home so that I can go back to my safe haven.........:rose:

Good morning, girls and boys...:)

OK, the Christmas holiday is over and I believe I way have added 5 lb. in just one day...:( I do hope everyone enjoyed the holiday. Actually I didn't do all that I wanted to do. Unfortunately I went through the holiday with a bad cold...:(

Blueeyes not sure if you are starting your return trip today or tomorrow but check the weather it appear that there is a winter storm moving up the coast. Driving that distance is a snow storm wouldn't be fun.

OK gang gonna run for now. Want to wish everyone a super great day...:)

Stay warm, stay dry, and stay upright...:D

Well, I hope everyone had a great Christmas.

But now that everything but the bill paying is over, it's time to play...

NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION!!

1. I'm going to quit smoking.....while I'm sleeping.
2. I'm going to be nice to people who ride Japanese motorcycles.....if they buy me beers and quit acting like I'm riding an antique.
3. I'm going to stop trying to figure out who is going to stab me in the back next....and just wear my protective vest 24/7.
4. I'm going to vote....what party wants to legalize marijuana?

I 'THINK' I can live with these.

Who's next?

Home Again

Okay everyone, I am back home again, safe and sound once more.....Jaded I did decide to wait and make the trip today instead of yesterday........it was smooth sailing all the way.........it started out being very overcast, but luckily I did not run into any rain what so ever.............I managed to make it all the way to GA and back without getting a ticket...........yeahhhhhhhhhh......that is very unusual for me............they normally draw to me like magnets in S. GA.......I was just glad to make the trip without any problems with the law what so ever........lolololol

I hope everyone had a great Christmas, and are going to have an even better New Year.................I hope that we all look at the New Year as a new beginning....................

Stay safe everyone........I have heard that we are going to be in the high 60's here on Sat, and if that is so, I think that I may ride for a little bit.........I am ready...............................:rose::kiss:

Good morning, one and all...:)

Woohoo its Friday...:) Dealing directly with people during the holiday season can be a real trip in itself. People understand a lack of planning on your part does not necessitate an emergency situation on my part... Just gotta make it through today then I am off again until after New Year's Day.

Elbiscayne, the very best wishes on keeping your New Year's resolution list...;)

Blueeyes happy to see you made it back safely in one peice...:D

Hope everyone is enjoying the holidays. I am going to focus on getting rid of this dam cold this weekend. Looks like we have another nor east'r heading my way on Monday...:( The start of the 2008 ride'n season seems so far away at this moment with all this snow still hanging around...:(

Well, gotta run. Want to wish everyone a great Friday...:D

Stay warm, stay dry, and stay upright. Catch ya all later...:)

Good Morning Jaded, so sorry to hear that cold is still hanging on with you....I know that it is rough to have a cold this time of the year........if I were there, I would nurse you back to good health................<grin>............hope that you do get it knocked on out of your system.......that is a terrible way to bring the New Year in.....................

Hope you all have a great weekend, and bring the New Year's in right, safe but right..............lololol..............:rose::kiss:

Good evening, everyone....:)

Woohoo my weekend is here....:D I don't have to be back at the cave until Thursday...:D

Actually the cold does feel a bit better today. Blueeyes nurse me? Do I also get to nurse on you as you nurse me... Thank you for the very kind offer! Very glad to see you made it back safely sexy...;)

Tomorrow I need to get up early and do a quick house cleaning. Had been feeling a little down in the dumps lately and ran into backrest un expectedly. She and I are gonna hang tomorrow night and get a little drunk(actually a lotta drunk... ). With that red hair and cutie freckle face she will be able to get me to smile. She just has a way of making this ol'e biker happy. So this weekend is gonna a be a good one after all...

Hope'n everyone has some sorta plans for the weekend...:)

Stay warm, stay dry, and stay upright...:D

Good morning, children...:)

It's a rainy morning here in the small New England town of Woodbury, CT. This is New England and weather is always a variable. Sorry, but this time of the year I find depressing. It's still dark when I get up and it's dark when I get out of work. The weather is to yucky ride...:( Every where I go this time of the year I gotta get there by cage.

I want to take down the Christmas decorations this weekend. I also have to go through some of the stuff I have stored down stairs and get rid of the stuff I don't us. I will be moving to the new digs next year and a great time to dump some shit.

I guess my New Years resolution will be to re focus my attention on the up and coming chili cook off. The holidays have broken my concentration. Seeing the year 2008 is turning this event into a reality to me. Time to get ready for some serious butt kick'n ol'e biker style...:D

For right now I have to neat'n the place up a tad for company tonight...;) Need to get to the packy and pick up a nice bottle of red wine. The lady asked me to take her out for pizza so it is gonna be a visit to San Remo. Hopefully to run into Chris another biker bro. I always try to support members of are hobby.

To those brothers and sisters in this area that may be lurking on are little thread I am trying to find another biker's gathering in are area. From what I understand there will not be any Wednesday night bike night at Corey's next year. The small little stand is being torn down to put in a mini mall by a large developer. Kinda sad after the numerous years that the event will just dyes... :(

OK, well nothing is getting accomplished sitting here. Time to get my sweet ass in gear and get this party started. Want to wish everyone a super weekend. Not sure just how early I'll be get'n up tomorrow morning. I'll be up just not necessarily out of bed. Nothin like morn'n wood...

Stay safe, stay warm, stay dry, and stay upright.

Just an ol'e biker keep'n it real and take'n it to the streets...:D

...still working on removing my gastank....have to remove the exhaust system to get the tank off....go figure....

...me thinks a certain Japanese engineer got pissed over WW2 and designed something to get revenge on unsuspecting Americans....

Sunny and warmer today....maybe the snow will melt enough to rake the leaves in the yard....:(

...have a upright weekend....

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS...............my bike is now fixed again.......the first warm day with no rain I will be riding once again..............It was so nice to hear it run a little bit ago, and know that the gas was not just pouring out of the overflow hoses.............yes, I am happy now..........I can bring the New Year in right.....

Jaded, yes you can nurse on me while I am nursing on you..........I would not have it any other way................<grin>..........

SG, sorry that you are having such a hard time with your bike right now.... maybe you will get it running by the spring, and who knows we may just pass each other out there on the highway at some point...........I hope that you get the tank off today.....................

Jaded, my Love...........I hope that you are hving a great time with the red-head tonight.............I know that you more than likely are..........I know that I am having a great time myself, got a great buzz going on, and am going to make a few phone calls and get a couple of friends over...........hope you all have a great evening.............:rose::kiss:

Happy New Year's Eve to on and all.......

Good morning, boys and girls....:)

It's a dull grey overcast morning here in the small town of Woodbury, CT...:( Just as the last few piles of snow was finally starting to disappear it snowed again last night. Not much, but enough to turn every thing white again...

I did some touch up house cleaning Saturday morning so the place still looks pretty good...:D Really don't have to go any where tonight so I am just gonna kick back with some finger type food like buffalo chicken wings and a few beers I have left from Saturday night. Yes, Blueeyes Saturday night Sunday was an assume time. It is completely true what the say about true read heads. They are a dynamo of energy. Now combined it with her young age (31 yo) and it made it challenging to proved this beauty with the intense pleasure sensualists are capable of... But of course I got the deed accomplished...:D She is only 5" 5 with freckles and red hair. She is also Irish. More like a leprechaun and so magically delicious... :p When she left she was wearing a large smile and had the warm fuzzys...:D

I am happy to hear you got your wheels back. Wished it wasn't winter around here I wouldn't mind getting my horse out and going to a putt.

Well, gang I need to get the day started. Starting the morning off with some fresh made blueberry muffins. Nothin like biting into a warm moist muffin first thing in the morning. One and all have a great New Years Eve...:D

Stay safe, stay warm, stay dry, and keep it up right.

Just an ol'e biker keep'n it real and take'n it to the street...!

Hey SG,

Just remembered something. If you do have the tank sealed, and if there is a crossover under the front of the tank (connected by a hose) you may want to run a small coat hanger through them to make sure they're not blocked before reinstalling the tank.

I hear ya about the 'can't get there from here' attitude of engineers. I think it's because they think what they do is 'art', and hell, everyone knows 'art' is eternal. And then there's the old, form follows function; function follows form argument. Me, I think, 'make it easy on the next guy because it will probably be me' is the way to go.

HINT: Get a 'FACTORY' service manual for your bike. At the very least it will let you know if a particular job is something you would want to tackle.

Happy New Year Bro

Hey Jaded, darlin. Sorry to hear about your cold, glad to hear about the leprechaun! You go darlin...I know from experience she was one happy lass when she left!

Christmas was good to me. A "friend" from HS came up to visit...we went to dinner, movies and then back to my place and the hot tub. Despite the freezing rain, we certainly had a hot night! I'd forgotten how well....;)

Have to run into the office for a few hours today...then I think I'll take my ex husband up on his offer of some pampering in a hotel.

Hve a Happy New Year All!

good evening all..........I hope that everyone is having a great time, and bringing in the New Year the right way.............Jaded, I am so sorry that you are having such a hard time with that cold.......too bad that I can not make it up north right now...........if I could I would come and nurse you back to health, so that you could nurse me afterwards.................<evil grin>........I am sure that we would have alot of fun once you got to feeling better......;)

New Yera's Resolutions:

To not smoke while I am sleeping (stolen from elbiscayne)

To put as many miles on my bike as possible once the weather starts warming up some

To concentrate more on my classes, and less on the guys

and last but not least, to only have sex with the ones that are worthy of me.........<grin>...........

Hope you all have a Wonderfully Fantastic 2008

I'd like to thank everyone for making me welcome here and wish y'all a Happy New Year.

I'm staying in tonight and store up some heat for the Polar Bear Run tomorrow. It's supposed to be mid 20's, wind gusts of 40mph and chance of flurries. The wind is already up, the chimes out back make me think it's the doorbell.

I've got the feeling there won't be any nekid women at this event.

I'm going with my bro Joker, so I know I'm going to hear, "If any of you bitches is havin' hot flashes, I need a hug," shouted out at least one time.

I know I'm going to see more Bloody Mary's tomorrow than I'll see the rest of the year.

I wonder if I took one of those heat patches that Shaq pimps on t.v. and put it in my pants, if I'd be able to find my johnson if I need to take a leak. I know from past experience that thinkin' warm thoughts doesn't work.

I'm staying in and alone tonight. My darlin is in PA. Get to see him the 11th and 12th

My resolutions? To stop worrying what other people think, it doesn't matter anyway. To get off my lazy butt and study for my next exam and of course pass it so the company has to give me another raise. To love my man unquestioningly.

Happy New Years Day...

Good morning, everyone...:)

Wow everyone is making all these resolutions....

My New Year resolution list:

. Make more two wheel'n time.

. Win this chili cook off contest.

. Get moved into my new digs.

. Making the time and getting serious about launching my consulting business.

. Find the love of a good woman and settle down (that one never happens).

I stayed in myself last night. I have a few friends in the police department and was warned that they were hitting this area hard on dwi's. Actually had the location of the check points...;) I prefer to do home parties anyway. That way I can be sure that none on my friends don't get into an accident. I take everyone's keys and no one drives drunk.

Actually if it went for the stuffy head I would feel pretty dam good. Actually I would be feeling a lot better if I were licking Goddess and Blueeyes...:p:p:p...

Want to wish all the friends of Biker's Run a great 2008...:D

Stay safe, stay warm, stay dry, and keep it up right...;)

Just an ol'e biker keep'n it real and take'n it to the streets...:)

Actually I would be feeling a lot better if I were licking Goddess and Blueeyes......

you tell us this, and then you tell us to stay dry............come on now Jaded that is playing against the rules................<evil grin>...........I hope that you had a great night sweetie, I stayed in myself here.....a friend and I just sat around and had some great converstaion, food and drinks.........we were going over the past year, with the accomplishments and the set backs that we have had............trying to assurer that maybe we would not have the same set backs this new year..................but you know as well as I do, that some people come into our lives that throw a stone into our well greased machines............(so to speak).........I do hope that you get rid of that cold soon.............I know that it has got to be aggravating you terribley by now.......................

Happy new year, my new friend, and to all here on the Bikers Run...........please do keep those babies upright and in between the legs the way they are meant to be...........<grin>....

Happy New Year everyone!!!!!

I went out last night! Well, sort of. Walked across the street to the neighbors house... So I didn't have a long drive home either!

Now, I can't walk across the street. Since midnight we have had over a foot of snow... and it's still coming down. Unfuckingbelievable. It's the wet heavy kind, so my day will be spent digging out, inbetween watching some football.

Hope everyone enjoyed their evening.

And like everyone else... my resolution is to get more saddle time.

Hope you feel better soon, Jaded.

^5's to the guys,
's to the ladies.

Stay safe.
