Biker's Run..........................

If you didn't get a break on your taxes from Der Fuhrer...

You're just a poor working stiff in America now... you pay for the privilege to be here, but you don't get any benefits for it... can't travel, no vacation, no medical benefits... no shit!

the middle class has been moved to China.......but never fear....there are lots of wal mart greeter jobs available.......

That's true...

But they don't usually want tattooed, bearded, long-haired, snaggly toothed old bikers... "Hey motherf**cker... take a god dam cart!!!" You can see how that might work at a Harley dealership but Walmart? I think not.

Good evening, girls and boys...:)

The rumors aren't true I didn't move to china...

I have pretty much recovered from the heat wave. Monday night kinda pushed me over the endge. I can take heat pretty good but humidity killers me. Last Monday night when I went to bed it was 87 degrees and 70 % ihumidity n my bedroom. Even the 24 " box fan didn't help. I needless to say didn't sleep well and went to work the next day. Tuesday was even hotter than Monday. Tuesday night it felt like someone drove a steel rod between my temples and I was extremely sick to my stomach. Wednesday, are heat wave broke and I got a little relief.

Oh, Koala I applied at Wal Mart for one of those greeter jobs! They actually have two at the door now. They are numbered 1 and 2. You stop in front of 1 for English and 2 for Spanish.

Christ, I am only looking for part time work life 35 hours and there is nothing out there. No one is hiring. It makes no sense to drive 10 miles away with the the price of gas shooting up when all these employers want to pay is peanuts. I was surpised at the number of people I see in the large citys standing at the edge of the main roads with sign saying will work for food. Welcome to fucking America!

I really enjoyed reading this one!!!! I had a good laugh at the visuals of this one......and all the little ol' ladies running away scared at the sight of the ol' Harley dudes....cause they were too scared to get a god dam cart.....

Dress like a biker...

You're welcome in bars and Harley dealerships... but not very many other places... kids love you until their parents tell them you eat kids... but isn't that what the VC used to tell their kids we did?

Sam Walton and I don't see eye to eye... his take on America was everybody wanted everything as cheap as they could get it, and they didn't care where it came from. So he filled his stores with Chinese crap, including American flags, bought for pennies, marked it up 500%, still cheaper than it could be made here, broke unions, closed American manufacturing, sent jobs overseas and to Mexico... and now technology we invented is being sold back to us by factories in Indonesia that pay less than a dollar an hour. Now all this shit didn't happen at once, but it did happen... by design. Just like conservatives... who in their right mind would turn on the Bible and do unto others as they have done unto us... then say they were good Christians? Snake handlers... that's all they are to me, fools just waiting to get bit. Conservatives, Christians, VC... their all the same to me... let God sort 'em out.

Oh... nice to see you back Jade... are you in the wind yet?

Oh, by the way...

That's what I used to tell my kid, too... of course, I also told him I found him under a rock. He's a computer engineer now... won't ride a bike.

Oh... nice to see you back Jade... are you in the wind yet?

Not yet. Need to find more hours and money. A lot of things are on the back burner for the moment at this time. Can't keep dipping into the savings. They are dipping low. My son and daughter both got married in the last two years. Both gave me grand kids in that same time frame... Family comes first.

Dinny!

Some bikers aren't all snaggle-toothed, full of tatts, clad in leather etc. as you well know but I have seen the "fear factor" in people's eyes when they see any biker.....

And yup, I am fool getting bit, over and over, and NOT liking it at all!!

Wally Marts, Wally's World or whatever you call them, are breedin' like flies (or illegal Mexicanos) everywhere. They cannot be stopped. A Black plague that is infesting each and every place. Killing out the Mom and Pop stores......

Guess we better get out our illegal immigrant "uniforms out..."

Yes WELCOME BACK Jaded, to the world of the living!! Glad you're better!!

I see your fine humour is back.....I especially liked your Greeter #1 and Greeter #2 analogy!!! Too funny.....out here in MA. the freakin' malls have signs in 2 languages......you guess it, English and friggin' Hispanic/Spanish.....when I go to the Holyoke Mall, near Springfield MA. I feel like the MINORITY, as I am waaaaay out-numbered, by you-guessed it Hispanics.....

Yes, WELCOME TO FUCKING AMERICA LIKE YOU SAID.......

Damn... Harleygrrl

I been hangin' with the wrong group of bikers... you mean they got bikers with good teeth, clean skin, Armani leathers and faithful ol' ladies? You gotta be kiddin' me. Too late for me to fit in with that crowd, I'm too tattooed, got all my snaggly teeth, most of my scraggly hair, beard, and attitude, and I usually begin and end a sentence with fuck!

Oh... and I also insert a couple of fucks in the middle of the sentence just so I make my fuckin' point.

Well NO. The majority of us, me included, have scraggly snaggly hair, some teeth, and those we do have are snaggly like yours are. But I don't have a beard, or tatts., and my leather chaps and jackets are pure Harley Davidson!!

The silent Armani minorities are in the corner.......

And the attitude, yes, sometimes. But I am trying to lose the trend of beginning and ending my sentences the same ways you do, and in the middle too, for empathasis.

SO LIVE TO RIDE AND RIDE TO LIVE, Dinny, like the rest of us snaggly, snarley, scraggly misfits!!

Whew... I'm glad you cleared that up...

For a moment I was wondering how I could fit in with this new biker 'chic' that I had somehow missed... you sound fine and normal, so we could move in the same crowd and feel right at home. You had me worried for a second. But now all is right with the world again.

I don't know about trends in sentence structure... I learned my bad language fighting for, or was it with (?), this... country... believe me, thirty-five years ago the f-word wasn't a trend, it was how you coped with the war, I just never changed my habits after I came back... because I was such a 'clean cut kid' when I was yanked out of my peaceful civilian occupation as a guitar player to answer the involuntary call of my F-U-C-K-I-N-G draft board, good ol' lottery number #75... poor kid, poor family, bad grades, no silver spoon to buy my way out of military service... this was in the years before the silver spoon represented toot.

Jade, I hope you appreciate this next part... since the wonderful country felt it was necessary to remove nearly four years... best years... 18 to 22, of my life, I have since enjoyed the opportunity to share what I learned during the war about people with others who don't have a clue what war does to otherwise normal people.

Yes, we are right at home here, all us snarley, vile-mouthed, snaggly misfits.... and I don't wanna blend in really......

A special thanks to you and Jaded, and others for serving this country for ALL of us.....As I civilian I have NO idea what Nam, and other wars were/are about. Only the images I have seen, the stories I have heard, and the pics. I will always remember. But I try not to have him re-hash the bad memories, as it is apparent that it still is too painful to discuss.

It is amazing how you, Jaded and others have re-integrated back into the system that didn't and still doesn't give a tinker's damn about its veterans....

Silver spoon, or no silver spoon for tootin'......it's only the idle rich, and the politicians that have access to silver spoons of all kinds.....us regular folk get nothing.....and have nothing......

Yer welcome...

It was our privilege... even if someone had to put a gun to our heads to get us to go... thank god they didn't make us go back four and five times... otherwise there would have been a revolution!

My heart goes out to all those that have served in Iraq, having to listen to Dick Cheney talk about them being volunteer... like that let's the motherf**kers off the hook for injuries and psychological damage... when you start a war you reap the consequences.

Happy Father's Day!!!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!!!

I want to take this opportunity to say a special HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO JADED AND ALL THE OTHER DADS HERE IN THIS POST!!!

Hope you all have a great day today and get very spoiled by your wives, or girlfriends, or friends, and kids today!!

Well thank-you still, Dinny, Jaded and to the others that served and are still serving!! You ALL are BRAVE men, and GOOD MEN!

Mere words cannot suffice, for what you all went thru......

Now, it being Father's Day and all...... please get out on your bikes and ride and have fun today too!!!!! And can somebody take me along too, please!!

Good morning Harleygrrl
This will be the first Fathers day since I don't know when, that I was not enjoying the White Mtns of NH for Laconia week!

Some of you out there know my Mom is not doing to well so its local rides only

I did head down to Rhinebeck yesterday to the bike show/swap meet.
What a dud!
I loved the bikes in the show but the swap meet sucked!
I cannot understand how some of the vendors pay for a spot , Pay todays gas prices to haul the crap out in a truck, spend a weekend working their spot BUT ONLY put SHIT OUT???
One guy had three side cases from an old sportster...Every cam cover was cracked or had pieces missing? Come on guys ...A sporty cam cover isn't going to break you and trying to piece together a broken cover and weld it is not cost effective... So where do these idiots think they are going to find a buyer?
I saw more JUNK! Just JUNK! than I ever saw at a swap meet before!
I know , one mans trash is another treasure but, this was garbage!

I picked up a few abrasive pads for a frame I'm restoring at a good price but was very disappointed with this swap meet.

15.00 admission, Overpriced food, 6.00 a beer, and junk that should be sent to Korea to made Hyundais ...

Now if that wasn't enough... I got stuck in a pounding thunderstorm on my way home. No fun riding in high winds and pounding rain. Idiots with SUV's that cut in before their bumper is even a foot away from you. Lightning striking right next to you and a rain suit failure that lets a trickle of cold water run down the back of your neck.

On the bright side... It was a beautiful ride down Route 9! So I try to remain positive and remember the sunshine!

Hey Harleygrrl... Hope you get to enjoy a ride ... If I head though your neck of the woods I'll have to put the buddy seat on the back of my Springer so we can go tandum.
Oh yes, Springfield MA ( home of the Indian!) put on one great swap meet / show in the sping!
Keep us posted on the museum! It should be ready to open soon. Maybe we can have a lit friends group to tour it!

Speaking of Indians...

Is that factory still standing in Springfield, Wings? As I recall, Colt had a factory there, too. Did the city do anything with these historic landmarks?

Colt!...........I love my Peacemakers...........:D

Hi Everyone!!

Hope you all had a great Father's Day!! It was a gorgeous day here in MA!!

NYWings!!

Hi there!!How's your Mother these days-hopefully holding her own!!I know what it like to have an ill parent.....but I am glad you do get out on the bike!!

Yes, I will keep you posted on the Indian Museum-it's about 45 minutes south of me. Springfield is a great place, and yes it would be great for a Lit. group to meet and tour around the museum, and maybe the Smith and Wesson plant, etc.

Dinny:

I'll have to check and see which historic buildings still stand there. The old jail just got razed a few months ago.

Koala:

Hi and nice to see you here!!

That would be worth a ride back east for...

Motorcycles, Guns and Paul Teutel Sr + Jr... missed them at Sturgis last year!

Good Dinny, good!!

The North East is a Great place too! Yup, guns (the Smith and Wesson Plant is in MA.) motorcycles everywhere, and the Teutels, if you want....

Us, scraggly, snarley, Massholes ( what we are "affectionatly" called in MA., by out-of-staters......) will be waiting for you!!

Harleygrrl, Thanks for asking, Mom is doing very well and so far things heve been going good with hospice. I got a little upset with a social worker today when my mom told me she gave her a third degree about how she feels about living here. Funny how sneaky some people can be who go out of their way to make things more difficult than it has to be.

The bike got a good scrubbing and polish after riding through that thunderstorm Saturday.

If I had the time I would stop by your neck of the woods to offer you a back seat to Laconia to see what was going on in those White Mountains of NH... I love riding through that area. My good friends are off on Wed to head up to a little bed and breakfast in Meridith NH Just up the hill from the dock with a fantastic view. I'll sure miss not going this year. Maybe if I can steal a day or two I can run up and find place to sleep under the stars. Years ago you could camp at the track. That was before a few 1%'s blew up a couple cars in the mid 70's. They actually pulled the race for a couple years after that mess.

Dinny I hear what your saying... I was lucky with 245 for my lottery #
I was in college and one of the guys on my floor was a chopper pilot. We called him "father time" cause he was almost 30! Wow that seemed so old back then.

Take care folks
