Biker's Run..........................

G-evenin' everyone...

....Been a damn KOLD day here in the western tip of Va., Got colder as the day went on, even had some serious snow-squalls, but hasn't amounted to any accumulation.
....I had my bike at work, so had to be very careful bringin' her home this afternoon. The snow had wet the roads, and was slick everywhere...Looks like i may be like you tomorrow Doc, altho not on a bus, will probably take the truck in tomorrow....makes my friday bad to start off with, ridin' a cage to work...
....Hope everyone has a great friday, and the cold temps are not an indication of things to come...

.....Ride safe, but ride....

Good evening, everyone... :)

Sorry I haven't been around. Been very busy at work with the holidays coming up. Plus I picked up some sort of a bug and feel miserable. Cough and sore throat. Absolutely no energy at all. I have to make it through tomorrow then I get to relax this weekend... :D

Need to find my teddy bear. Time to crash and get some rest for tomorrow...:(

Dude did you have to say the S word. I just looked outside and Ill be damned if it aint blowing some pretty serious snow squalls here too.

G-mornin' everyone.....

......TGIF, even if it is cold then a well diggers ass in Jan. outside. Hope everyone is well, with the temps bein' so damn low this mornin'. I had to get up early, to keep the fire stoked, but it is/does feel good...
......Sorry 'bout the "S" word doc, but if like here, looked worse then it was, we had near white-out conditions several times, but left lil' on the ground. Hope everything is still good, altho beit cold, up in No. Va. this mornin'. Ya can be assured, its damn cold here where Va. meets Tenn/Ky...and the weatherman is sayin'...don't look for it to change much today....
......Sorry to hear 'bout your cold jade, already made its rounds here, sore throat, sinuses, and then ya get the squirts to go along with it....I took some cold pills for awhile, but I swear, I think they make me feel worse then the cold itself...It finally passed, hope your does soon as well...
......Still curious to fyrfyter, out in st.Louis, wonder if he was one affected by the big blak-out, ya out there fyre, let us know ya are ok man.
......Dinny, I hear ya 'bout the golden years, my dad always said, the golden years, ain't all they're cracked up to be, seems like the older i get, the more I am realizin' what he meant..
......Hope everyone has a great Friday, and stay in, and warm if at all possible....

...Take care, but ride ever chance ya get.....helps with PMS
(Parked Motorcycle Syndrome....... ;) .......)

G-mornin',

......Everyone froze up this mornin', am guessin' it set a new record low for us this mornin'. I heard the old record was 9, set in 1970, 'bout 5 here at the house. Not sure where the records are kept from, but am sure it's damn cold there as well...
......Was checkin' out some of my bookmarks last nite, and came across this site, it's perty cool, check it out, and see if any of your favorite rides/roads are on it...

http://www.motorcycleroads.us/index.html

......Have several more perty fair sites, I may post later, hope everyone has a great day, stay in, and stay warm...

....When on 2-wheels, its never the destination, It's the journey..... :)

Well, things turned around in the Rockies...

It was in the 60s yesterday, but there was still too much ice on the road to ride...it was in the mid fifties today but the roads were dry and everybody was out. It was good thing for my ride too, cause she coughed and sputtered her way through the first two miles, but by the time I got back home she was purrin' just fine. The Mrs. said the weather forecast for tomorrow is for more of the same, and I'm back in the wind for a little bit...and happy as hell to be there.

G'Day all
Middle of summer here in the land of Oz

Held my bike licence for over 20 years and now my wife has decided that she want's to get hers........ no prob.... so I'm selling the ute to pay for the new bike, nothing really big.......A 2007 Kawasaki GPX 250.... had it for 2 weeks and clocked up about 500km's

I'm enjoying being back in the saddle again

The pic is of my wife - Wildrozes on the new bike when I got it home

Good evening, everyone... :)

Sorry I haven't been around. Trying to get the place decorated for Christmas. Each year I decorate the place in hope it will put me in a good mood and each year it doesn't. This time of the year is a little tough for me. I can't help but to think about the buddys in Nam that didn't make it back and it sorta bums me out...:( Wifes and kids that will never see the husbands and dads again. God I hate war!

I have also been slowed down by a dam head cold and sore throat. In the evening everytime I try to get sleep I go into a coughing spree and wake right back up. It is taking it's sweet time about going away too.

Welcome to Biker's run Webbo1. When your on this thread your always among friends. I think this is about the only thread on Lit were no one is concerned about the size of what is between your legs. In reference to the size bike your ride... ;) It all baought the love of the hobby. I recently started riding again after a 25 year stay. I raised to kids and didn't have time to ride. I see you meet ost of the guys on are little thread we call home... :D

From the son of a Nam vet to a Vet.....thank you for the welcome mate.
I am enjoying being back in the saddle again and look forward to many more years of riding.
Thanks again to every one who has made me and Roz feel welcome here

You are not alone, Jade.

I was down at the VA today for my monthly adjustment. I spent the first twenty years after that war drinking to forget, thankful that those that I left behind weren't there to see me...and I realized about fourteen years ago that there just wasn't enough alcohol, or anything else for that matter to wash it away so I started to spend my time remembering my friends instead...I don't know that it makes me feel better, but I do have a better approach to my life.

The holidays are real hard...partially because my first family was made with a local national (not to piss anyone off, but 'zipperhead' is the only word that accurately describes her) I married who proceeded to make most of the aforementioned twenty years miserable by reminding me everyday how she f**king saved my life and all the other garbage that went along with that. Lessons learned: when bringing home souvenirs from wars...don't marry one of them.

Since I divorced her though, I look back and realize how much I miss those friends and what our lives would have been like if we could have stayed together...you know? Those could have been some great times.

...surprised to see this thread slowin' down/dying...Figured with all the PMS goin' 'round, we would have plenty to say on here...
...Good to see ya back on dinny, like everyone, the holiday seasons bring back a sense of de-ja-vu. Thats all part of what makes us what we are today. Cheer up, the weather will break soon enuff, and we'll all be out ridin', forgettin' all our troubles and cares. I always thought a good run thru some twisties, was better therapy then any shrink could ever give me... ;)
...Curious now, if everyone is ready for Christmas, I rekon we are, with the exception of maybe one or two small things, and of course the big Christmas dinner. Get thru this week at work, and will have a long weekend, doesn't help any that the temps have been in the 70's here, for 'bout a week now...Hope we don't hafta pay for this great weather come Jan....
...Wishin' everyone a happy, and glorious Holiday season....

....Snake....

Happy Holidays

Well guys and gals. May not be on much for the next few weeks. Its the holidays and I am headed home to Arkansas. Been over three months so it is about time. Stored the bike in the shop where it is all warm and safe. Probably will be sorry I did not ride home. The weather looks good for the trip there but looking at the 30 day outlook I would freeze my ass off coming home so I decided to play it safe and just fly.

While the bike is in the shop getting some extras. 1000 mile service, crash bar, saddlebag guards, maybe more depends on $$$ and if the Army ever comes through with that dang bonus I been expecting. They sure get in a hurry to sign you up but when it comes time to pay you they are slow. Hurry up and wait.

Everyone have a happy Holiday.

No putting this holiday

Temps in the single digits, but got a couple good short rides out of last week. Holidays are tied up with music, got a gig on New Years at the Moose Lodge in Longmont, CO with a band I ain't played with for two years. Unfortunately my garage ain't heated, so I try to pull the scooter out and run her for a half an hour a couple of days a week. The bike shop says that ain't enough, but it never failed me before. Happy Holidays. Watch what you eat.

Summer here is still cookin, but it's a nice 25 deg Celcius (about 90 F) bit of cloud and a nice cool breaze - great day for a ride.....pitty I got the ruggies at home tho.
Love the ink on Celeb (I got one, more for the memory of my Dad than anything else).

Keep the Faith Brothers

White Christmas

Well, dug out literally a ton of snow from my driveway yesterday (40 feet by 4 feet deep by 6 foot wide, just enough to get out the Jeep) and I don't think I'm going to be getting on the scooter and time soon. The snow that normally melts off the road the next day in Boulder is packed about a foot deep in the street...and the plows are too busy rescuing stranded motorists on all three interstates to worry about the rest of us. It's a real mess here in the Rockies.
